I downloaded Chrome for him, below and behold, the computer loaded pages MUCH faster. At my school, people downloaded Firefox on all the computers, I don't really like Firefox, so the computers I use, I downloaded Chrome, and it runs websites faster, on the same computers. Never had any add-ons.

@thefettman2 well,at the first i never experienced any problems like this. 2)Well after a little bit of research i found out that no browser has perfect security,there are only difference in levels 3)To deal with viruses is the work of an antivirus,we cant blame our browsers for not providing security just cuz we visited some virus sites.There are always ways to overcome things.4)Google chrome is da best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Fasest browser cuz of which most ppl use it.

@LilMissae Google has three chrome update channels, stable, beta and dev. If you want very latest updates, use dev channel, if you want less buggy but with latest updates use beta, and if you want rock soild chrome with not so new updates, use stable channel.you can find stable by just googling "google chrome", if you want beta, use the "try the beta version" link on the site and if you want dev, go to the beta downloading site and change "betachannel" to "devchannel" in the link.

I just installed Google Chrome a few minutes ago. I had Mozilla Firefox and uninstalled it when I got Chrome. Umm so far I see some changes, loading was the obvious one. But the only problem I have right now is that when I watch videos like on here, it would lag like a millisecond. But and when I scroll its a bit laggy. But I'll keep running Chrome. I'm happy with it. So in conclusion, its pretty good

Google Chrome looks awesome... my brother in law had it and I loved how it gives you your most frequently visited sites when you open a tab... and with how fast it is compared to FF and IE, it seems like just a totally awesome browser. I will definitely be downloading it onto my new computer.

No, technicly it's not. It is slightly faster, but the price is using more than 60% of your CPU. Thats an incredible amount compared to FF using less than 20%.

Multitasking is almost impossible with Chrome.

you just need to turn javascript on in that certain browser. You might find something in the help section. if you manage to turn it on but it still doesnt work try updating your flash player :-)

Also you need to fix this video because Chrome is not built for Ubuntu yet. they have it ported in some "Chromium" project that sucks. I had it on last week and it was super slow with no flash. Its garbage and is nothing like Chrome.

This happens with all web browsers because the html is written in one browser. If I write html for IE then it looks different in Firefox. Firefox is horrible at reading html written in IE.

The lack of plugins and customization was the point of the browser. When you put millions of plugins and settings on a browser you get slow ass firefox. The point of google chrome was to make it simple. No bullshit, just a good fast browser. Its exactly what I have been waiting for.

Yes! I used to use Firefox but now i use chrome. It is faster and nearly as safe. I haven't used Firefox since I downloaded Chrome. The only other browser i use is Opera. And i use that occasionally. Chrome may not be the fastest nor safest browser out there,but it is one of the best.

If you want true speed than use Opera.

If you want true safe than use Firefox.

If you want a true mix than use Chrome.
