  • I can't imagine any country music lover not liking Hank as a person and as a singer. THANKS for post.

  • Hank brings back all the good memories

  • He was one of the greatest-

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!!

  • Even at this age, Hank still had his amazing voice and timing. There are good artists, and are great ones. Hank was one the best.

  • Just beautiful!

  • Thank you Mr. Hank Locklin, for the gift of this song. Forever it will keep my heart connected to my father that sat with me one day, to my surprise with his guitar and taught me this song.

  • Just Great

Many Time.s Better Than This RAPPEN CRAP That We Hear Today.

I Seem To Remember Going To The Grand Old Opry To Hear Hank

    ing Several Of His Songs.

  • Damn!! Still lovely! :)

  • What a man.....

  • Makes me cry! One of my all time favorites!

  • What a great voice even at his old age. Simply awesome!!!

  • reminder of earlier

    greeting Catrien Netherlands

  • This is definitely one of my favorite love songs...never heard a bad version by anyone...Hank, Johnny Tillotson or Dean Martin.

  • Wow still got it....omg he is amazing!!!

  • Great Great Great wonderful

  • He was great

  • you cant beat pure vocal talent, sadly vocal talent doesnt really matter nowadays

  • First record my wife bought right after we were married in 1958. Hank grew up in the county in which I grew up, too. Great man from a great family. Now I do the song at karaoke. . . a treat for me.

  • I love this song

  • love this songggg

  • Love this!!

  • Not sure when he first recorded this song. But I listened to it on the radio in Kodiak, Alaska in 1964. I was in the Navy. One of my favorites.

  • Hank was a neighbor of ours when we lived in Brewton and often sang in my living room. Loved him and Anita.

  • @Sunshineinal Brewton Alabama? I grew up in Mobile

  • @bearnurse1 Not too far away. I used to go there everyday to pick up mail for our business.

  • thats the great late john hughey on steel guitar

  • A great great singer one of the very best ..

  • He's like no one else -

  • Even at this age his voice is perfect to a great extent. In the sixties and for many years after I loved t o listen to his songs. Thanks for the effort.

  • Awsome...!!! I miss Him...RIP...!!!

  • one thing; I'm always so disappointed if the applause is cut off, so you can't see or hear how the people react, and escepeccially what the singer expresses when he's getting that applause.. Please stop cutting off video's before they end, and even windows movie maker has the opportunity to fade out at the end; use that please...

  • Beautiful. Who would have believed anyone of such a good age could still sing like that! RIP Hank and thank you - and BOBFORDD - for the great music.

  • Hank is My great Grandpa

  • my mom cleaned Hanks house for 20 something years and still cleans for his widow Anita Locklin and he was a even better and more fun person person off stage than he was on when i was around him he wasn't a holier than thou person it was like hanging with a friend

he was my friend,Almost an uncle, and still is a great inspiration

    I miss you Hank -Anthony

    Brewton,AL

  • @SeveringAnthony I guess that's what I've always been thinking of him, allthough I only know him from my father's very old single collection... Never doubted about he should be a very friendly person off stage, because I guess he was someone who couldn't fake his emotions...

  • @SeveringAnthony Well said thanks ..

  • Have always loved this song and Hank Locklin has his own style too.

Beautiful song by a beautiful singer!!

TQ for uploading and God bless!

  • Hank is still a pro :)

  • My mom had one of his LPs singing this song and I can remember singing it in the 4th grade at the time! LOL How GOOD N SWEET country music was back then. It was REAL and not the stuff they play on country radio stations today. God bless Hank Locklin!

  • You are so right. bring bak the old country anytime. Todays BS is just that: BS!

  • I was raised on old country and its sad that he left this world. could listen to him all day literally

  • DINO is better

  • A great lifetime entertainer in the Country/Western style, with a bit of mild rock. Truly an entertainer......

    RIP

  • a this is perfect ive heard this song as little boy and ill still love it thanks

  • I just hope some of the younger generation can truly appreciate this country legend.

  • He can still sing and look how nicely he is dressed and pays respect to his audiance. sorry cannot spell today. Thank you...

  • forget the spelling you got it right. Even though Mr Locklin's voice is a little shaky. Big deal. After all he is a legend. Thank you the comment on his dressing. The long ago performer dressed to impress. 50% of what you heard from the stage was what you saw. It is true. or was true. Today performers come on stage like we were working on the car and though we d stop by and perform for you. Whatever happened to class and respect?

  • TY Hank has always been one of my favorites. He has such a soft mellow voice. Very touching

  • wow

  • Thank you for posting so many wonderful country songs from way back. It sure brings many memories back to me.

  • This is just so awesome! Even in his senior years, he still had it going on. Bless his heart! Thanks for posting.

  • A TRUE LEGEND.THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

  • i love this! sounds so great! one of my favorites! i was a baby when i first heard this! born in 1960, but tnx to my mom! it is forever in my head! belongs in the country hall of fame! if its not there already!! YES

  • I have commented on this before, but I just have to say, this will forever be one of my all-time favorite country songs. No one will ever do it like Hank Locklin could. Hank was really getting on in years in this video, and still sounds GREAT! I've been at the Opry many times when he was on the program, and he always gave a fine performance. FIVE STARS

  • what a voice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! beautiful

  • How old was he when he was singing this song?

It sounds so good and he has a strong voice.

  • He was 89 years old in this video and he died on 8th March 2009, aged 91.

  • Hank Locklin Was A Very Talented Singer...He Will Be Missed Dearly!

  • I'm a younger lady but I grew up singing this music with my daddy. Nothing today will ever be greater.

  • Hank was a distant cousin of mine. Most of his family lives around Florida panhandle. great family and talent. Will be greatly missed.

  • TRUE CLASSIC!!

  • I don't know who this but my grandmother wanted to here it today. :)

  • I am 32 and had never heard of him until one day I walked into my parents and he was at the kitchen table playing music with former hank willams musician clent holems, it soon become common to see him there having a good time with my parents and playing great music.

  • Great classic country. I have subbed and 5 stars :-)

  • GOD BLESS HIM

  • Have you any more of this great man's videos? Please share!!!

  • Thanks 12Fegen for sending...Voices from the past always great to hear!

    Bob

  • A great artist that I grew up with. I was so

sorry to hear of his passing. Thank you for

    posting.

    Thank you John for sending.

  • Another great artist is gone

  • Sad to learn that Hank is gone. Dean Martin and Johnny Tillotson also had outstanding versions of this classic.

  • this is sad for us opry fans...we lost mr. locklin and mr. ernie ashworth within the same week. Last year, I heard Mr. Locklin sing this song live on the Opry at the age of 90 and he sang it in the same key as when he originally recorded it.....very impressive.

  • "And then there were None.".....after the news today of Hank Locklin's passing, left us with only the pretenders and impersonators of real Coutry Music......

  • You are correct. The country music today is a poor duplicate of those older singers. I can remember when There was Hank Locklin, Hank Snow and Hank Thompson along with many others. Those were the days of the really good singers. I will miss this man and may he rest in peace. His songs were great.

  • There will NEVER be country singers like the "three Hanks"; Kitty wells is another one. Thanks and very well said! I wouldn't go to the Grand Ole Opry these days if it were located right across the street (and I've been countless times in years gone by). It will never be the same.

  • What a loss for country music!! Hank will certainly be missed! This legend should have been in the Hall of Fame but those fools have consistantly overlooked him. Now, he's gone......................... R.I.P. Mr. Hank. You will be missed!

  • Fools is the right word for them. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

  • One of the pillars of classic country music. He was a legend and will be greatly missed. God bless him and his family at thisdifficult time.

  • One of a kind! They just don't make SINGERS anymore! He will be missed.

  • So long Hank, thanks for the memories.

  • Hank Locklin died yesterday - 91 years full of country music history.
