MCA was cut off when it aired on WMAQ 5 in Chicago. I was not sure if it was on it then. WPW started to air it starting with s2. Now I know the first logo is "Bob Brooker Enterprises".
You see where I'm going with this? Instead of the mildly scary MCA TV 1974-90 logo, we could've had the absolutely terrifying MTE 1987 logo at the end.
Or rather yet, we should have a NBC Universal Television Distribution closing logo. That logo would be good instead of that horrible MTE logo, which by the way is downright scary as heck!!!
Yeah, the MCA-TV logo used to scare me to death as a kid...I still get nightmares and chills when I think about it. But, I thought "Out of This World" was a cool show.
only reason why I liked the MCA-TV logo was because it was sort of an odd displayed logo that looked thrown together out of spite. The big blue mountain Paramount logo had to be the scariest logo though.
Damn that MCA-TV Distributor logo!!! It's only job was to dart out at the end of televised programs it distributed and scare the hell out of people sitting in there living room chairs.
The production coordinator of this show, Jeff Turner, went to my high school! He was in choir with me and we were both involved in the theater department. Nice guy! Hi, Jeff, if you're reading this! This is Laura V.
You missed a heck of a show! This is truly one of the Classics and surprisingly, does not get the recognition it should get. As long as it ran, and had 96 eps, I believe. it use to come on NBC here in Arizona, I think on Saturday's after Silver Spoons. If it ever is released on Box sets, you probably would like it. It has silly humor, but it is nice, clean, and wholesome. Very Innocent, fit perfectly in the 80's. One of the last hidden Gems of the 80's, and early 90's.
Yeah, I am actually shocked that some cable network does not air it already. It won a couple of TV awards, and had numerous nominations. If you grew up in the 80's, it will take you back memory lane, just by the harmless, silly humor. If not, then this show really is just fun to watch. Shows in the 80's didn't have the drama that we can take to work or revolve around, such as now. We could watch shows, laugh and relax, and leave it there. Such a simpler time. :-)
I was two when this show came out. So I knew nothing about it, sorry. The only ones I've seen back then were soaps, "The Real Ghostbusters", "G.I. Joe", "Transformers", "Wheel of Fortune", among others I've seen.
Ahh Jeez! You missed the last of the Great decades! You could order a pizza and have it delivered to the class room, with out getting in trouble! We did it in Algebra class. I dig The Real Ghostbusters, not the one with that stupid ape! Wheel of Fortune has nothing on "PRESS YOUR LUCK!"Type that in You Tube and prepare to meet the Whammy! One of THEEE Greatest games shows of all time.Tic, Tac, Dough was cool too. Yeah, hopefully they will have this on a box set soon, so you can see Out of this World!
man if they put all the seasons of this show on dvd i bet TONS of people would buy the dvd's i know i would :) thank you for posting all of these, is there a site with more episodes?
