  • Wow that looks like fun, my uncle was an old ice man,he`s 90 this year.

  • very nice...be good to my home.

  • Great video guys. I like the story line. I think you need a helmet cam for some POV angles.

  • i'd like to get into ice climbing but I live in texas so...

  • @itchthisbitch13 same here, i went ice climbing up in alaska on and wish i could do it more often :/

  • Good looking lady there !

  • still good for the immune system...fresh water stays at the surface and piss and shit is heavier and will stay at the bottom of the stream.

  • Oh really... Depending on what I ate the previous day, my shit floats about half the time. Why wouldn't this hold true for animals?

  • Cool video. I grew up in Cochrane (30 min from there). I wouldn't be drinking that water. Looks nice and clean but I've seen how many elk, deer and sheep shit in it.

  • Great video, great music, great-looking guy!

  • nice

  • really liked it, good music. Keep up the good work!

  • Well done video. Nice ice.

  • Sweet video.

  • I don't like the 4x4 aproximation, but It's a great video, and music too. Thanks.

  • Instrumental - Russ Barenburg, Big Bug Shuffle.

    2nd track - Xavier Rudd, G.B.A.

  • Thanks for all the great comments guys. The name of the climb is indeed called Beowulf - WI 4.

  • That is really WI 4?

The first curtain looks kind of flat and about what 40/50 feet? - to the ice ledge?. The second curtain looks mostly straight up. Is that right? Is that the WI4 sections? Thendoes it go into the canyon where you don't need pro? Is there anything after that?

I'm used to mixed lines so maybe it is just me.

  • The second pitch would be the only stretch of WI 4. approx. 60'. The route itself climbs a narrow gully linking multiple pitches of ice of varying degrees of difficulty - straight forward and definitely worth the trip in. Not far from, This House of Sky.

  • neat

  • Very nice. You guys are funny.

  • Great vid, super ice, excellent music. Makes me want to jump on the next plane over.

  • Sweet bit of soft ice. Impressively long unprotected lead. Much different than the hard, brittle chandelier ice we get here - I have had 16 cm screws - dinner plate out.

  • Cool Video, who is the artist playing the guitar at the opening of this video,

  • Great Vid. Thanks.

Makes me want to dust off the tools and go!

  • great vid, anyone know the name of the girl !

  • Is the Joe Josephson who posted a comment "THE" Joe Josephson who did the first ascent of "Sea of Vapors" in the mid 1990s? Great video, I love Banff and I love ice climbing.

  • Nice vid.

Anyone know the name of the band?

  • that was awesome at the end!

  • Nice Vid. I think the route they did is called "Aquarius"

    A classic for sure!

  • Is this THE Mr JoJo? Not Aquarius, scenes showed driving into the north Ghost. In the sun means the north side of the valley but not VOTB so maybe VOTS or Beowulf.

  • I recognize it as Beowulf.

  • I'd be her ropegun any day!

  • This girl is cute. Lovely smile. Lucky guy!

  • The ice climbing start at 2 min 30 sec, before that is just tape wasted.

  • lucky guy-where can i find a girl like that!?

  • Amazing video, thats all I can say. I would love to try ice climbing one day.

  • well done i love ice climbing.from germany

  • what time of year was it and how cold? Were the boots heavily insuated?

  • cool

  • This was nice...

  • nice video edititing

  • i wouldnt drink from the stream if i were you ..... fish fuck in that water .... nasty ~

  • can you think of anything to say that doesnt involve being an ass?

  • who are you talking to ?

  • LOL, I'm sure you've drank dirtier water from your sink. Doesn't get much cleaner than that (except when you start driving cars through it lol).

  • lol thats what i was saying .... i still wouldnt drink from that water though .... with the way corps. droping nasty crap in it all the time ... thats why i drink my well water .... only birds and lil furrys pee in that water ... lol

  • Funny to here a didgerido played in an ice wilderness and not an arid desert. Did you get a shag?

  • why is it called ghost wilderness??

  • its called the ghost wilderness because of the ghost river that runs through it. I've spent the better part of several winters climbing in there and it is an amazingly beautiful and pristine area. it is one of the gems of Canadian Rockies ice climbing and is worth a visit anytime of the year.

  • What is the music? Beautiful guitar, outstanding video.

  • xavier rudd

  • hey Jamen, nice video!

  • Nice! Great movie. What climb is that?

  • it is Beowulf, further up the Valley from THOS. Classic route with lots of little bits of ice up high in the Devils Punchbowl. There are some great views from the ridge into Malamute Valley. Go do it and have fun!

  • Gah Ice clmibing scares the crap outa me! But of course probably going to try it sometime soon.

  • Love the video....what a great place you live in!! =)

  • Very nice... I just starting hiking and I love to see other peoples vids too... go check out Chukers..

    Great Video and Hiking trip

  • What route is that? Looks a bit like "This House of Sky".

  • you Albertans that live by the mountains are BC wannabees

  • theres better ice in alberta fool! (or maybe its just better climbers! ha)
