    I think maybe on block cr.mk crane >FADC level 1> dash in might be a tool for jump ins as it would dodge most attacks due to gens hitbox and offer one absorb if early or frame safety if the opponent is hit on the ground.

  • @Davezmaan It acts pretty much the same. Sticking to your main AA's is best. For most jump-ins it gets stuffed. I've tested it a bunch and it mainly whiffs and makes them whiff you, but... you can get SRK'd if they have a 3 framer. Personally it's not that reliable. c.HK is actually REALLY REALLY good. Most jump-ins that would stuff it actually trade or get beat out. (M) c.HP & (C) c.HK should be your main AA's then (M) s.LP, c.LP, s.MP & s.HP are best vs like dive kicks.

  • @whosnkn Oh yea, I agree with all of that. I was just trying to offer some kind of new* idea regarding the changes with level 1 fadc frame advantage... they have a purpose for those buffs, somewhere..

  • Thanks alot for doing this one!! How on earth did you do those combos at the end of the vid? Do you have notations on that? After Jyasen I noticed you did what looked like a dash cancel to continue the combo into Gekiro. How was any of that possible? :D

  • @dennyyoung215 LOL did you not read the jyasen frame data I posted? :P Gen is +6 if you FADC at the 2nd last hit of the Jyasen for LP, MP, HP and +8 for EX.

  • I feel kinda bad for giving gen a chance only after he got his HP > MK combo in ae, but man, he is pretty fullfilling vs most the cast as a main. If it weren't for guile, I wouldn't have had to pick up Dee Jay in 2012.

  • @whosnkn ofc. Just the long list of gen scrubs down in these comments asking for gen to get a 3f reversal + command throw + dive kick and 25+ advantage on all specials.

    Simply put, looking at the long list of changes hes suffered over the past year, i think he will be the secret top tier.

  • I wish Gen got hitbox/startup/hit stun/meter build/stun damage/damage or improvements on properties of normals like that. I'm not really satisfied with the changes besides crane cr.hk

    Mantis U2 upgrade is okay but I was hoping for some stun damage buff or non-scaled gray damage.

    Anyway, thanks. I'll have to wait for PC update to see the buffs myself so I really appreciate this video.

    Just one thing I want to point out, when you demonstrated Gen's [Crane] c.mk with Ryu's Super reversal in the 2012 version, it was NOT a reversal, and last I heard (I think) Ryu's Super comes out in 1 frame, so I think it IS punishable. Just letting you know :)

  • @Jonemode why? It appears to be the same amount of total frames but more active frames. This is a good thing. If it were longer in total it would suck. I always had problems doing c.HK vs Kens air tatsu. First 3 kens I played c.HK DESTROYED IT!

  • I believe that the meter you gain from an oga is canceled out when you feint it so that's why you flash.
