Umm is anyone else finding the human Prince Charming falling madly in love with the female little ponies a little creepy? I sure am. Then again Hearthrob was ready to kiss one passionately in love. That too is a bit creepy. So where do baby ponies come from if they are in love with humans? 0_o And why is the prince French? This whole situation is just weird.

1. It would only be creepy if they were ordinary, non-talking, non-sentient ponies. They're not. There's nothing creepy about interspecies romance.

2. Most of the adult Little Ponies are married. The episode "Somnambula" features their husbands, the Big Brother Ponies. However, Heart Throb is single and has a daughter, so one can only wonder what became of Baby Heart Throb's father...

I wish people would stop dissing this series. I grew up with it. It was my main obsession along with Care Bears. It's corny, yes, but everything in the 80s was. ;) This was considered cool back then. Friendship is Magic caters to a new generation. I really like it, too. Without G1, we wouldn't even have FiM.

@reannaking Oddly enough, I'm quite bias. FiM is a big exception. I never bothered to give any MLP series a chance after G1, cuz I always felt they never "measured up". I've heard good things about G4, though. I wasn't gonna bother with FiM, but everyone was going nuts over it, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and watched it. I'm glad I did. It's good to give everything a sporting chance. :)

I like your attitude about it. ^_^ Ponies are, indeed, just ponies.

And I gotta admit, it's kinda odd that there doesn't seem to be any humans around, even in different "worlds", like in G1. Heck, even in the villains were human-like. Witches, but still. @EndlessOceanMew i'm confused. fireflies adventure was what they called the re release of the pilot. it is about 22 minutes long. the movie that leannaba describes is my little pony the movie. the episodes that some videos call mlp the movie 2 is the end of flutter valley, which is largly aclaimed as not being very good, and was origanaly a ten part episode

as far as i know, the movie decribed is always known as my little pony the movie, and is available on youtube

@fyphfoko firefly's adventure was indeed the pilot but it was originally released as my little pony the movie. but after being cut into 2 episodes, the third movie became my little pony the movie instead. firefly's adventure and escape from katrina were the 2 first movies but today they are nothing more than episodes

MLP: Escape from Midnight Castle / Firefly's Adventure is a half-hour special. Same with Catrina. The My little Pony movie is the first full length feature, and the ONLY one shown in theater (the MLP:FiM one is just two pilot episodes smashed together). It was there they introduced Paradise Estate, a new play set from Hasbro at the time of the movie release, as the Ponies new home.

@ThePenisMighier well here in europe the specials were put as episodes on my little pony DVD's with lots of episodes. they were DVD's of 2 hours long or so. they only released 2. the first one had firefly's adventure and the second one had escape from katrina on it. both versions are cut though. if you want the full specials then try ebay

The only well-known male ponies that appear in My Little Pony and Friends are Knight Shade and the Big Brother Ponies. In the Tales series, the ponies are male and female because they are anthropomorphized.
