THe kkk was organized for the purposes to protect the rights of and further the interests of white Americans by violence and intimidation. The black panthers was organized for self empowerment and self-defense for the blacks. There is a difference.

You are about half right. The original Klan formed after the war of Northern aggression protected southerners from carpetbaggers and the yankee war criminals. Same concept as black panthers. The second Klan formed in the 30's was a lot different. This was when they started with the cross burning and everything they are famous for. It was completely un-necessary and so is the modern black panthers. Blacks no longer need protections from the panthers. They have more rights than whites do.

My understand of all this is that the 2 white men were set free because, another man finally came out and said that he had ran over him. I pray for the family of this young man every night. So why not tell the entire truth? A truck driver came out after and said he may have hit the boy with his truck. The boy was drunk. The 2 innocent white boys were friends with the kid hit. The only reason this is a racist accident is the family will not accept it was an accident and nothing more.
