Looking purely from my pro-Decepticons view, Transformers 3 can still be good. If...

1. They remove all humans, especially Michael "spazz-camera" Bay and Megan "Bland-o-face" Fox. Or at least have them killed after 5 seconds of screen time

2. Soundwave gets to be a great fighter like he was in the cartoons AND he can bring Rumble and Frenzy along

3. Stop coming up with idiotic characters with no personality (Blackout? Barricade? ), and give us Skywarp, Thundercracker and the Triple Changers.

It wasn't faithful to the franchise, and the entire devastator scene could of been an awesome battle but they turned it into an anticlimatic joke with him being one shotted. And apparently in Transformers 2 M-16s are anti decepticon if you watch how a giant freakin robot recoils from being hit by them all because Michael Bay felt the military didn't do enough in the first movie.

He wasn't really killed, when he was shot by the railgun, his Devastator form was disassembled. An ex. is when Jetfire arrives, he kills the Mixer decepticon, he was one of them. When Sam's parent's are dropped off, the Bulldozer behind them was part of Devastator. Also, when the airstrike happens, you see the big Green Dumptruck getting destroyed, he was one of them.

It looks like the weapon he got hit with was some sort of hyper electromagnetic pulse weapon. After Devi lost is arm, you see a bunch of sparks and flashes going through his body too. I think they are imlying that the burst didn't just do a bunch of high velocity dammage but also acted like an EMP that fried all his electronic and shorted him out.

But it still would have been cool to see him die an a big climactic battle.

Here he looks like he was more of a tactical utility device than a direct combat-ultimate weapon like in the G1cartoon. But as for the decepacles (deciptacon-testicles) I remembered watching the old cartoon when they had female transformers and i was wondering... do the guys feel that much more masculine? they don't seem to have a robo-shaft so there wasn't a big difference....but then again, they never did totally reveal how Transformers actually reproduce or made more...*mischievous grin*
