I would like it if the new IOS 5 safari would offer it's new tabbed browsing as default with the ability to not use it as an option. You ask why? Well there are times let's face it when we just don't want someone to know what we are browsing. Using the current browsing method with Safari is great! Because the other window I'm browsing is complete not visible other than the numerical indicator. That way I can switch to what I want someone to see then after they have left I can switch back. Ta

@xxtimetimexx ok, while I agree BB OS 6 on the Torch isn't good only because the hardware isn't good enough to support it. However, look at BB OS 6 on the Torch 2; they upgraded the hardware and now it's butter smooth.

@xxtimetimexx but, too much simplicity leads to, in some cases, less efficiency, less features, etc. One reason I don't like iOS is because you can't add anything besides folders and icons to the home screen. Android has widgets and Windows Phone 7 has Live Tiles. Another thing, the lack of customization. All of this leads to an extremely boring experience experience IMO. Don't you think?
@Jarhead1407 I’m not sure I’d like widgets that much myself. They just seem like they get in the way, and show a limited amount of information that I can just as quickly get at by tapping that App.
That new Magazine Stand is close to a widget, a rather smaller but just as accessible one.
Let’s not forget this iCloud service is going to be the next annual catch up routine that has to be made by other companies. In my opinion… why wait? Imitations are never as good as the original.
@xxtimetimexx good widgets show little, but very useful info. Tapping an icon takes time for the app to actually load. Widgets are just there. And pleae don't start in on iCloud, cloud computing has been around forever. Actually, one of the companies who really made a service successfully harnessing its power is Microsoft with SkyDrive, and SkyDrive is now partially baked into WP7 and with Mango will be fully. WP had it before iOS. Just know that.

Google, as you probably know, owns Android, what was the first phone to have a truly innovative notification system - the swipe down notification system. Oh look, iOS5 has it too. Oh and I also learned Apple also copied MS & WP7 from the new camera roll feature (which MS owns patents to) & baked-in social networking features.

iCloud is pretty awesome even though there is no streaming. iTunes has always limited you to one download and rare occasions through support let you redownload your music. Now I have access to 2 years of purchases plus all my apps on the go. I love the auto syncing to all my devices. iTunes match is awesome to spend $25 for year 1 let them scan my rips and download HQ and boom update my collection.

@tttwas I understand your viewpoint. I like Android as it has a lot of features, but my point was what point is all those features, if every thing you do is not smooth. Tasks as simple as rotating the home screen, swiping home screens was buggy on Honeycomb on the tablets. The Android on phones is much more decent but things like scrolling, etc just are not fluid .Apple never puts in a lot of features, agreed but at least the features can be used properly and to its full limit. :)

@sdsbhatia I'm sorry but there was no "Copying" you can't patient a keyboard and messaging service and I think you'll find you obviously can't with the notifications system... So if they were "copying" they would have been sued. Also I had an android phone for all of 2010 and by 5 months it was really showing itself up! IOS may lack some features that Android has but at least it doesn't crash when you try to load and app :L I'm sure Apple will better any features it "copied"

Samsung is getting sued for copying the icons, I didn't notice it before until i saw a side by side comparison and they were copying and not even trying to hide it.Then there's all of the ipad knock offs. @Jarhead1407 RIM is far worse, look at their best phone the Torch. It's the worse operating system on the planet. And their CEO is a pig, in looks besides anything else.
Everything Apple touches turns to Gold. Not everyone likes the shininess, but it's undeniable: iOS is the smoothest most user friendly operating system ever made. No one has come close to the polish they have achieved

@xxtimetimexx ok, while I agree BB OS 6 on the Torch isn't good only because the hardware isn't good enough to support it. However, look at BB OS 6 on the Torch 2; they upgraded the hardware and now it's butter smooth.
I agree that everything Apple touches turns to gold, but to me it's sort of like today's pop artsists - untalented, masked by dishonest methods, and highly successful due to ignorant and simple-minded baboons. And yeah iOS is user friendly - it's terribly oversimplified.

@xxtimetimexx but, too much simplicity leads to, in some cases, less efficiency, less features, etc. One reason I don't like iOS is because you can't add anything besides folders and icons to the home screen. Android has widgets and Windows Phone 7 has Live Tiles. Another thing, the lack of customization. All of this leads to an extremely boring experience experience IMO. Don't you think?

@Jarhead1407 I’m not sure I’d like widgets that much myself. They just seem like they get in the way, and show a limited amount of information that I can just as quickly get at by tapping that App.
That new Magazine Stand is close to a widget, a rather smaller but just as accessible one.
Let’s not forget this iCloud service is going to be the next annual catch up routine that has to be made by other companies. In my opinion… why wait? Imitations are never as good as the original.

@xxtimetimexx good widgets show little, but very useful info. Tapping an icon takes time for the app to actually load. Widgets are just there. And pleae don't start in on iCloud, cloud computing has been around forever. Actually, one of the companies who really made a service successfully harnessing its power is Microsoft with SkyDrive, and SkyDrive is now partially baked into WP7 and with Mango will be fully. WP had it before iOS. Just know that.

Google, as you probably know, owns Android, what was the first phone to have a truly innovative notification system - the swipe down notification system. Oh look, iOS5 has it too. Oh and I also learned Apple also copied MS & WP7 from the new camera roll feature (which MS owns patents to) & baked-in social networking features.

iCloud is pretty awesome even though there is no streaming. iTunes has always limited you to one download and rare occasions through support let you redownload your music. Now I have access to 2 years of purchases plus all my apps on the go. I love the auto syncing to all my devices. iTunes match is awesome to spend $25 for year 1 let them scan my rips and download HQ and boom update my collection.

@tttwas I understand your viewpoint. I like Android as it has a lot of features, but my point was what point is all those features, if every thing you do is not smooth. Tasks as simple as rotating the home screen, swiping home screens was buggy on Honeycomb on the tablets. The Android on phones is much more decent but things like scrolling, etc just are not fluid .Apple never puts in a lot of features, agreed but at least the features can be used properly and to its full limit. :)

@sdsbhatia I'm sorry but there was no "Copying" you can't patient a keyboard and messaging service and I think you'll find you obviously can't with the notifications system... So if they were "copying" they would have been sued. Also I had an android phone for all of 2010 and by 5 months it was really showing itself up! IOS may lack some features that Android has but at least it doesn't crash when you try to load and app :L I'm sure Apple will better any features it "copied"

Samsung is getting sued for copying the icons, I didn't notice it before until i saw a side by side comparison and they were copying and not even trying to hide it.Then there's all of the ipad knock offs. But there are alot of similarities between android and ios . I own both so i know.
