You have to remember that he used to be a sweet adorable looking kid before he grew up to become a bad tempered swearing-on-the-movie-set and mother/sister assaulter.
It really shows the outcome of the world, and what people had to endure.
It shows you don't really want to see the truth, now, hmm?
Never fun to see a child suffering, but stuff can be learned by it. It really is revealing true experiences that happened in a similar manner. It's war.
I have, and I am; in my American History class now.
Every single war movie is going to have a bit of holly wood b.s. in it. That's natural, but it doesn't mean it's a horrible movie, or as though children or adults themselves had to never go through an experience like that.
Almost every movie has hollywood parts added, even like Pearl Harbor with the little romance triangle.
its part of the human spirit, to deny it is to deny who you really are. suffering is part of being human, without you never truly live. i pity those who run from it , we must fall so that we can truly stand.
@ sag ..well first your pretty crazy,js. i suffered as a child and am better for it. you know nothing of the real world. you live in fear of it, and as long as someone else protects you cause your to weak to defend yourself.
could you truly know happiness without pain? given to you by your God? we praise him for the good but not the bad? suffering is a gift that only humans have the pleasure of knowing. but your not really human are you? let some bring you to your knees in pain and you will love life like never before, we were born to suffer.
evil prevail as long as good men do nothing so we are all to blame. grow up and open your eyes cause your blinded by your fear. also dont help anyone, just be part of the problem.
@nora8brian lol, no, you open your eyes and realize that evil and good is inevitable to be balanced. All of us want only good, but bad things must happen, such things must exist. So cut the crap about that melodramatic shit "evil prevail as long as good men do nothing", that was the biggest shit I have ever heard, and that`s someone`s saying far as I remember... The Evil is necessary to exist, and Good also.
wtf...you are a stupi asshole man...Equilibrium, Harsh Times, Batman Begins, Equilibrium, American Psycho and The Dark Knight...masterpieces!!!!..and then whe have terminator salvation and public enemies...good movies..
I believe that he is one of the people in the camp, I heard his name a couple of times during the scene when Basie bows to the Japanese officer and gets beaten up, there are a couple of close-up shots of Dainty in that scene but even I'm not sure where exactly he is, just my guess.
@ZacO8965 - Well that´s new to me, is the lad in this moive a gal ? Chrisitina ?? , a guess a am getting too fuckin old, strange things happen in this world, anyhow it iz indeed a MASTERPIECE(Sic)
omg...I've seen parts of this movie over my lifetime. A biography of Christian Bale said this movie made his life miserable at school when he was kid...
Please, please post it! I have never seen the film: / It seems so good so can someone upload it? It would be very nice =)

@sagorevach most of the time, history is as subjective as cinema.

I have seen this movie at least once and I had no idea that Ben Stiller and Christian Bale would be in this movie. Then again it was made in 1987.
