Hi xxEsTa118xx ... Many thanks for the translation. Much appreciated! ... I emailed Napola's director, Dennis Gansel, and asked if there would soon be a Blu-ray edition of this film with English subtitles for all the extra features, including interviews like this one. He told me there's a possiblity a Blu-ray edition may appear in 2012, so we must keep our fingers crossed! There's a director's commentary, but unfortunately that's only in German at the moment with no translation!
Sorry for my bad english and the fact that I had to break this ;)
1. “I think Vogler sees Friedrich like the person he always wanted to be in his younger years or what he anspired like the young small boy, who works his way up. And Vogler just sees the chance to reach a really big thing with Friedrich. The relationship between them is very good. Not a father-son-relationship, but it’s a “better” relationship than he has to his other teachers.
rest of part 1. But the thruth is, that Vogler is only interested in Friedrich’s talent. He just wants someone, who wins for the Napola, but Friedrich doesn’t know this.”
2. "Albrecht always questions everything and that’s typical for him. He doesn’t accept everything what they tell him, like all the other boys do (at this time). They think it’s good, because everyone do it ( group dynamics). But Albrecht wants to look through the whole situation."
I love him -.-
