Great tutorials! the people from CBTnuggets or lynda should hire you, I also agree you have great teaching skills.
I can't get my head around the idea of baking though. Is it usefull if you want to re-use a project. Because you need alot of code already in place? Or is it used to make extra models and controllers after the core components are in place?
@Joeprrr I rarely use Bake. Bake is useful for getting CRUD up and running for your tables to test out your associations. Most applications need more than just CRUD. You end up changing a lot that baked code anyways. For this reason, I just write all of my code instead of bake it. When I want to test my associations, I use Cake's scaffolding. I'm sure some developers love baking though, it's personal preference. Don't worry if you don't get Bake, it's not required to do Cake development.
Andrew, you have a real talent for training- I really, really appreciate you taking the time to put these together, as they really helped getting me exposed to the features, as well as getting started with Cake.
and also authentication and authorization, if i may suggest. there are other tutorials on these, but they are not half as easy to understand as your tutorials. we like hearing your cool soothing tone!
Thank you for all of your video tutorials! I've watched all of them, and they are a really great addition to the blog tutorial in the CakePHP manual. The CakePHP-team should add a link to your videos!
