If by chance I've said this, I say again: John Coltrane was and still is the greatest saxophonist of all time. I do not mean by this that the other big names are not too fantastic sax, but John is an awesome musician, outstanding. His legacy is one of the most important in jazz history. I say this with great emotion and nostalgia. John Coltrane is unforgettable. Jazz has these things: the musicians are so striking that it is always difficult to say who is better.
