God bless you Stuart.. I remember hearing fields of fire when I was about 8 and thinking Thank God..I found the music the music I love.. all the other kids were listening to Spanaud ballet and madonna.. next I discovered Joy Division .. The Clash etc.. RIP Stuart you are missed!!
Thanks to the poster. Big Country is my favorite band of all time. These guys epotimize rock. Brilliant lyrics, awesome melodies, and virtuoso chops are on each of their albums. Check out "The Crossing" on the re-release of The Crossing...these guys do a serious jam!
Man; I was f'ing devastated when Stuart died (ah, who am I kidding? It still upsets me now); I don't think I've ever been so attracted to a pop star in my life. I used to dream of marrying him in the 80's, ha, though he was a good dozen or so years older than I.
*sigh* Why didn't anyone get him the help he needed? The universe suffers so without him. *sniffle*

Music that never ages - as enjoyable now as it was in the 80's. RIP Stuart

Brilliant - I loved it when the interviewer gave up trying to bring Mark into it! Great stuff from Stuart.

Stuart was such a dream boat, he had real style in both music and presence...effortlessly cool is how I'd describe it.

So prophetic when he talks about the problems of alcohol abuse. Sigh...
We love you, Stuart. God keep you.
