much debate in here! To be honest, the best way of experiencing her ability is not to watch her on TV, but to go to one of her live shows. I did once, and she was damn-good, she knew things about the people she spoke to in the audience that she couldn't possibly have discussed with them beforehand, and by their responses, I'd say she was 90% accurate. TV can be edited heavily, live cannot be in the slightest, and from watching her live, I don't think she's a fraud at all.

@ebrobaru Possibly - I was at the back, and had no real idea what she was using as techniques, but she questioned about 20 random people in the audience [not including myself thankfully!], and I only remember about 1/2 real inaccuracies - for one woman, she said she pictured a stethiscope [sp]? in her mind, and the woman turned out to be a doctor. Hard to explain why, but I could tell she wasn't bluffing, and I was braced for bluffing, knowing what TV can be like.

She said something like "I see st. what does it mean to you?" It can be that a doctor tend to his dying mother or father, that she works in a medical supply store, that her sons wants to be a doctor, or that her favorite show is a medical one. See? It can mean anyhting

I'm sceptical, however, I have still not seen enough to say that Mia is definitely a fraud, say for arguments sake she DOES have the ability to contact dead spirits etc, should we then expect her to be infallible??, should we expect her to be above human and never make mistakes or put a foot wrong??, Carol Voderman is a gifted mathematician but does that mean she never makes mistakes??, was Albert Einstein the greatest Physicist whoever lived on earth perfect and never made a blunder??.

Not the spirits but what I'm suggesting is it's conceivable that Mia herself and others like her COULD make mistakes despite being genuine, so I would say that nobody should be tempted here to jump the gun and take the above as conclusive proof that Mia is a fake, of course, by all means question what she claims, I do too, I'm not completely convinced either, I have an open mind but it has to be said she has got far too many other things right to ignore.

Having an open mind is being willing to accept all possibilities, but with strong evidence, not wishful thinking. The fact that psychics make mistakes is a common excuse they use. In any case, anybody can make wild guesses, some will be right and some will be wrong. What´s the differennce with a "non Psychic" person?

The difference is the sheer amount of times she has been inexplicably right, I agree that anyone can guess but potential psychic ability is judged on the number of right guesses compared with average, to put it another way, psychics could be said to be much better guessers than the rest of us, Mia is an exceptionally high scorer in this regards, it appears easy but I bet not everyone could do what she does, if they could they would, ask yourself why there are so few "Mia Dolans"??.

I agree that a psychic is expected to score much higher than average. However then we have to establish exactly on what was she right and wrong in a particular time. It might appear like there's a whole bunch but compared with the population on the whole there are not many Psychic Mediums, even less reputable ones, when I say reputable I mean those whom demonstrate extraordinary ability that the average person can't because of course anyone can call themselves a "Psychic" but they won't last long or be very sought after like Mia unless they show some talent, Mia has shown such talent over the years, how she does it is another question as you say.

Ah well therein lays the big burning question really, because some might say as you say that she definitely doesn't have supernatural gifts, others on the other hand will say with equal conviction that she DOES have gifts, I say we simply don't know and it is difficult to prove either way, all we know for sure is that she obtains hard to get information about people, places that is usually accurate, sometimes it can't be confirmed or denied but usually it's right, how's the mystery.

I'm open minded about it all, I've no reason to dislike Mia, in fact I like her, however, I have to be practical and honest and say that none of what she said here was anything more than guess work that anyone could do, even if she got it right it still wouldn't have been conclusive proof of psychic ability because it was still far too general, the fact is she got quite a chunk wrong, so whilst this doesn't necessarily mean she's a fraud it doesn't exactly fill me with 100% trust in her either.

If you don't like psychics then fair enough but a lot of people have this whole "fantasy complex" and to them, speaking to someone like this is a huge relief, it's almost as beneficial as visiting a psychologist. I happen to be quite good at cold reading (which is what John Edward does) and do it along with a host of other tricks at my friends parties. I make itr clear afterwards that it is all an act. That is very unfair to say that mavis. it's always healthy to be sceptical but there are some very talented psychic mediums out there.
