I saw a recent Thor comic and Thor fought Iron Man and beat the heck out of him. I thought Iron man should have lasted longer in the fight. What do you guys think?
If I remember correctly it was in Thor #3, a new comic from Marvel. Thor fought Ironman and at the end of the fight, Stark was literally on his knees seeking a compromise. His armor was even trashed. I know Thor is almost as strong as the Hulk but he's not as smart as Stark by a long shot. It was even sillier that Thor didn't even break a sweat after the fight. I think this whole bit was just to sell the Thor book as its a new title. I have nothing against Thor, I like him a lot but (Continued)
(Continued) He just shouldn't be able to beat Ironman that easily. Ironman fought Fing Fang Foom before and also defeated the Hulk after Hulk beat Thor during the Onslaught Crisis. Even dumb Ulik has bested Thor before even thought Thor was assisted by Hercules' during the battle. I don't know...maybe I read the comic worng. My eyesight is not that good. Thanks for listeneing. Its an honor to get your reply for my comment. Have a nice day.
The reason I think that Thor beat him so easily is because that was the first time those two met after the whole Civil War thing and Marvel probably sensed that the fans would really like to see Thor beat the crap out of Iron Man.
Just think that Marvel was more interested in giving rabid fanboys what they wanted instead of actually being respectful to the continuity of the characters. But I could be wrong...though that's unlikely. :)
Now, I understand that Thor is a god and should be able to beat the crap out of Stark but I think Stark should have put up more of a fight maybe by using his intellect, no? If Fraction wrote that scene I think I would have been better.
Jose hit it right on the head again, Avengers needs some Fraction ASAP, I'm really tired of being depressed after reading one of Bendis' anti-climatic farses.
Time to bring some new blood into that franchise, that or get Dan Slott a better artist on Mighty
Loving it Fraction is on fire with IM, Larocca I can take or leave, but damn it's good. When I think about it, theirs very few Marvel books right now that aren't good to awesome.
i love invincible iron man - the smartest thing about that issue was that the fight between iron man and war machine had an original twist, fraction didn't just try to find some excuse for war machine to be angry at tony or to try and turn tony in for his own good...so awesome. and the way that the fight ended, tony was even using his brain then!
The story is fanatastic, the art is splendid, and the character are all egrossing. Praisewothy book, indeed. The conclusion has me very pumped for the next issue, however Iron Man's journey below sea was a TAD predictable when I saw him in the particular armor. Or maybe that was the author foresadowing. Hmmmm......Most likely the latter. Anyway, next issue should be GOOD! Both characters having tussled before and both members of the former Illuminati should make things very interesting.
with maria in search of him his appearence must be immenent! And as the only Cap I know, I know him as Cap. period. Not BuckyCap as most are natured to call him.
I haven't read IIM #11 yet, but I will read it when the second delivery in my store will came. An then I will get Secret Warriors #2, IIM #11, War Machine #4 and the GL: Secret Origins TPB!
The art, by the previews, specially in the War Machine/ iron man fight is amazing! Wow Larroca know how to drew War Machine!

Oh come on, Thor is a god, he should be able to beat the crap out of Iron Man.
What I really want to see is Thor beating the shit out of the Sentry.

Now I would pay good money to see that.

Is Tony Stark the Bret Hart of the Marvel Universe?
watchwrestling 2 years ago
Not even close. I think Tony Stark has more than 5 moves in his arsenal.

Oh no, you didn't.

He he. Ya, I went there.
All joking aside though, I think we can agree that Bret Hart is the best there is, the best there was and the best that there ever will be.

The only writer that know how to write Iron Man except from Fraction is Ellis Warren.
Ellis Run in Iron man #1-6 was amazing! My favorite arc (plus the five nightmares) of every comic series that I've read.
