:') Elvis is beautiful ♥ it's a shame that he's no longer with us. His voice was magic. it was gold...it was angelic...it was just perfect! RIP King of Rock ♥ you'll always remain the king of our hearts ♥
Oh take this heart i offer you and never set me free! Just Beautiful especially since I've just been reminded what it feels like to be in love again. Love you Charlene<3 You will forever be the Ketchup to my hot dog:)
Elvis was certainly the king. There was a guy called blacksuedeshoes or something that sang Elvis covers that was absolutely spine chilling dead on to Elvis voice. Don't know what happened to him but he was super good. Made chills down your spine when he sang.
Sorry. How can I put my mistake right? I just voted this down by accident. I thought I was just clicking on the screen to stop the movie for a moment. Instead, I voted this song down. Horrors! I love this video. Elvis's voice, without the orchestra, is magnificent . I was stopping the progress of the vid to repeat a section that `i thought was brilliant. Now look what I've done. I can't apologise enough.
@ChowderedRust Thanks for your comment; yes, my apology is sincere. The thing is, I first started playing guitar and singing when I was 15. I played cinema queues in Paris and small bars in the UK. What gets me about Elvis's delivery is that it sounds simple at first, then, as you try to get your own fingers round the chords and the phrasing, the complexities emerge. It's like tasting a good wine! Now, in my sixties, Elvis's music still tastes good. That's why I tried to stop the video!
@christinestanding I agree 100 perecent. I'm only 21 years old and I love Elvis..My mother is a huge Elvis fan, she grew up listening to him, so I think that has a lot to do with my interest in him....but wow his voice and charisma is unmatched!!!
Absolutely a wonderful song showcasing Elvis' vocal abilities and his onscreen presence. Sadly, Judy Tyler who got her "big break" being cast in her role in Jailhouse Rock died prior to the studio release of Jailhouse Rock. Thus, Jailhouse Rock was one of two movies Elvis did that he refused to watch again. The other was Loving You as his parents, and beloved Mother Gladys, appeared as audience members. Watching this video there is no doubt as to why Elvis was, and is, so beloved. Take care.
The story about Judy Tyler is just so sad, to die at such a young age no wonder Elvis couldn`t watch this film....this song is such a fitting tribute to such a "Young & Beautiful" woman...
such a lovely ballad. i just visited Graceland last friday and had a wonderful time. it truly is a special place. thanks for posting this wonderful song from a pretty cool movie. Elvis is the man for sure.
The story around this movie is really sad! Elvis was so sad about her death that he never saw this movie again, he told. She died before this movie was released.
Judy Tyler's look at 0.50 on has me bawling like a baby. This came to be one my my favourite Elvis songs along with Loving You and As Long as I Have You.
An absolute treasure of a clip. ....the turning point when Elvis tested his voice, when his musicians couldn't resist joining him with their instruments & heavenly harmonies & the way he & Judy Tyler smile at each other & realize their love. Elvis did some real fine acting here, but the way Judy goes to him & closes her eyes looks like she's really in love(& not acting). Great song, & great, great scene !!!!
Great song, but a sad fact being that Judy Tyler his co-star never saw the release of the movie, she died in a car crash with her husband Greg Lafayette just after finishing the movie on 3 July 57.
@hgwman Actually it was the 4th of July, not that her death being on America's birthday makes it any better. That may be one of the saddest Hollywood stories of all time. However if their is an up side she has been forever immortalised in a movie everybody should watch at least once in their life. That not a bad way to go out.
If you're softhearted like me..its very difficult to sing this song when I was about 11 or 12 my mom would make me sing this song for her she passed 24 years ago around Christmas time,Elvis was her favorite singer ever...it's the beautiful music set in rhythm to beautiful dedicating words

Elvis' leading actress Judy Tyler one month after Jailhouse Rock was done was killed along with her husband in a car wreck. Elvis was torn up over her death and would not ever watch this movie ever again.
Sony/FTD label have just released a 2 Disc special edition of this soundtrack on CD...it is stunning....The master versions sound incredible, and all the out takes are just awesome !!!! Thank you Sony..FTD..for this release !!! bring on volume 2 !!!!
i grew up hearing elvis,my moms favorite,i always wished that we had money so i could see him in concert, never happened but when i die,if i make heaven i will ask him to sing. he was the greatest of all time, and always will be, god bless
@edwinjohnson3 im sorry to sound rude, but i highly doubt elvis is wandering around heaven wasting his time singing to any shithead who asks.... elvis is in the soul of someone or something else
She reminds fo the woman who starred with Elvis in Follow that Dream. I was 13 and bought every 45 that Elvis recorded. We were poor and couldn't afford the 33 1/3 albums. My first 45 was Mystery Train. Still have it
It is common knowledge that Elvis refused to watch Jailhouse Rock after Judy Tyler's death (just three weeks after the movie completed). She and her second husband driving from CA to NY swerved to avoid a truck and collided with
another vehicle. He died instantly, she passed the next morning.
Classic record, sadly M/s Tyler, & her husband, passed away 3 weeks after the completion of this classic all time movie. She only did 2 movies in all. R.I.P Elvis, gone, BUT, never FORGOTTEN.
I love ths song, the music is pure and simple and his voice is so sweet. What a beauftiful man with a beautiful soul. I'm going to dance to this at my wedding.

With "Princess Winter Spring Summerfall", the late Judy Tyler, from "Howdy Doody", who died before the release of the movie.
Elvis was at the absolute height of his power here, neither he, nor anyone, would ever be this great again. Really beyond comparison.

I was 15, (55 years ago) when I heard him for the first time. I didn't like him because
everyone else did and I HAD to be different. It was a long time before I'd say I really
did like him! He was truly a great singer who got better as he matured and his voice
grew stronger. I enjoy his music more now than ever, especially his Gospel songs!
