  • As for Tai Chi, maybe less ducking, more turning from the waist? From your comments I take it this isn't supposed to be how a Tai Chi person would fight, but rather how a Tai Chi person would be confused in a fight. Still, even confused, kicks and ducks tend to stay stable, and the center of gravity of the practitioner doesn't lean out so far. Turning subtly to redirect the energy of a passing blow, or grabbing and locking a joint, that's more Tai Chi, I think. Still, well done.

  • @raherql it was scripted and was having fun in coreography still my taiji improved a lot since 2006

  • @UnknownFromHeaven both understandable points--I'm not being accusatory, just thinking aloud. And it's true, I can't speak to Capoeira, having just a little experience with the Yang style.

  • too heavy moves, capoeira it's fast and soft

  • I didn't see much tai chi.

  • @matthewhester82 :) that is because the script was that the "tai chi" is adapting to the "strange and foreign style of capoeira" if you will watch closely the taiji is looked confused at first about the jinga steps :)) that was a scenario..if you didn't like it i promise you to make a better one.

  • HARNING: NOTHING TO OUTPUT BFRAME DECODER LAG (1:09) ?? :D

  • Is not brazilian capoeira!

because, no have the Malandragem Brasileira!

    I like!

  • @drako9633

tu nem sabe o que é malandragem brasileira gringo

  • @yannarena51 Now that wasn't very nice.. if somewhat true.

  • Isso ai.. gostei do gingado.. por pouco não batia de vez o Thai Chi!!!

  • capoeira skills.. mm not bad .. keep it

  • It was a good video but it was choreographed as hell.

  • @MakoRuu did you watched the whole clip ? because the second coreography was the best i did between the styles.

also check out the new coreographies, this is pretty old

    i wish you well!

  • @UnknownFromHeaven Is that you doing the capoeira ? Mate, that looks very good. It looks like you've done it a while..

  • @sylontuk i am a jeet kune do, kung fu taiji and ninjutsu practitioner, capoeira is just another interest,,my friend became really good with it because i ve always encouraged him to do so, i wish you well!

  • Eddy vs Law

  • Dios míos ese hombre le va a dar un paro cuando se de cuenta que es el capoeira, suba la guardia, estire los pies y búsquese una academia. Todos los movimientos están mal hecho increible.

  • nice video

  • get a haircut man

  • @BooGiMayn71 this video is a compilation from year 2007 to 2009

    please don't be an idiot.

  • Capoera is nice. But it uses a lot of energy.. must have a high stamina.

  • Many people forgets Capoeira is meant to use with a knife... Now, imagine these bizarre kicks with knives and headbutts, I wouldn't like to be against such a foe

  • watch the video on fightscience they had Lateef Crowder there. Hear what the Scientists had to say about Capoeira. Axe por todos

  • @SabbathDEEP indeed Capoeira art cannot be put to questions, there are many mestre and artist who can really fight in this style!

capoeira is an efficient and a beautiful art.

    i wish you well!

  • Capoeira was developed by the Negro slaves and captives in Brazil. It was illegal for slaves to practice any form of self defense back then, so they disguised Capoeira as a ritual involving music, dance and acrobatics.

  • @nickuhleee , nicely said man. . .. .

  • very well

  • UnknownFromHeaven Name of the songs , special 2nd one

  • every style is effective if it suits you and you keep practice it every fucking day

everything you practice is effective even if itisnot a martial art style

i was practicing muay thai and wing chung to find out that capoeira is more myself

in the street i have tried all three styles and i find them all very effective.

as for this video the guys have great time, that s all that matter

don't stay and judge...training is needed

  • So much wasted motion/energy in capoeira. My opinion is that it's great for fitness and exhibition is exciting to watch but may be one of the least effective hand to hand combat methods, especially for multiple opponents. I've seen some super fit capoeira proponents on the street though i frankly wouldn't want to fight any of them. I'm more drawn to chi na and aikido when it comes to basic and highly effective self defence.

  • @ultrabluelake do not underestimate the style...through capoeira slaves had their freedom..and there are surtain mestres who can really fight and beat that way..

check lateef crowder...that guy is insanity...he can really beat someone that way..thats what i think at least...wish you well!

  • @UnknownFromHeaven Oh yes i'm sure you are right...after all, it's not all style, it's also the substance, intelligence, fitness, so many factors come into play. I don't have room here to type everyting i want to say about this and it's time for christmas dinner so i've got to go but yes i see the beauty and power in this art also and i've seen some surprising and effective techniques in it.

  • @ultrabluelake I could be wrong, but I think I heard once that Capoeira wasn't meant as a fighting style, but was adapted. I could be wrong though lol

  • @ultrabluelake ...... do not diss capoeira, i use it in my matches and in my shortfilms, and i have 34 win streak. capoeira may look useless but we have super human strong kicks as well as strikes, so face a master or professor and see if you win

  • @ultrabluelake The movement actually makes it best for fighting multiple opponents.

  • @ultrabluelake it might be true for this kind of capoeira , but search for capoeira Angola , the original one , more economy of motions i would say

  • @Sosalx i appreciate your comment that you remained yet objective since this video is based on a coreography and not a real fight, a true capoeira practitioner cannot be put in doubt. is a very efficient and misleading martial art!

    i wish you well

  • @ultrabluelake You clearly have no understanding of Capoeira.

  • freak!

  • If people have fun making short clips like this, that's cool, but why does everyone feel the need to list irrelevant buzz words in their description? Why must people always list JKD, Wing Chun and other things and never actually do any of it?

  • @tgreer0120 if you are reffering to my list is because i practice those styles..

  • @UnknownFromHeaven, thanks for clarifying. I thought it was another youtube video that claimed it was a certain style. We've all seen too many of those, I'm sure. :-)

  • gotta hand it to the guy trying capo... its hard as hell and physically demanding... more training and itll be pro

  • lol, this guy isn't very good at capoeira, very jerky and he never quite gets hit momentum mving as much as he should, there won't be power in those strikes, though it's easier to coreograph that way

  • @sutmae1 the first part filmed is very old, his capoeira improved a lot since then!

and either a way or not, we have fun with martial arts, none of the moves presented in my coreographies are not used in real fights.

    best regards!

  • @UnknownFromHeaven Cool, i can respect that, everyone is a work in progress, what counts is not so much where you're at as how far you've come. i can't talk crap about that since I can't do those things, I'm more based in Muay Thai and BJJ, i have a lot of respect for anyone who takes on the challenge of learning Capoeira, I wish you guys the best!

  • @sutmae1 thank you for your wise comment.

i as well have respect for those who practice martial arts generally...but martial arts if you like it, are very fun using it to enjoy free time with friends or family.

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha! I can see this is just for fun. Lol!!! I like it. Choreography is really hard to do, especially with two different styles.

  • 1:47 kick was pretty beast i like the style alot but dont really have tiem atm to look into as much as id like

  • The music need dubstep wobbles...

  • capoeira is a dance

  • @wingchunsifu83 No, Capoeira was developed and disguised as a dance by Brazilian Slaves, so the Guards wouldn't know they were actually training a form of Martial Arts.

Google Capoeira and click on the Wikipedia link, you'll be amazed at what you can learn on the internet ;)

  • @Drizzzzzles i left his comment since i know someone will argue him, i just began to stop giving explanations and arguments..i am really sick of those who say things even they are not informed of, and thats why i do not respond anymore.

    thank you for your comment.

  • @UnknownFromHeaven Anytime ;)

  • tai chi is martial art for protection

    not for fighting OK!

  • it's really beautyful, but next time try to do real capoeira :)

  • Jumping around... OK acrobatics... but in real fight you will get 1 punch KO if you fight like this...

  • @sincore90 i agree, but just for you to know, there are several people who can really fight that way!

  • he is not doing capoeira he is breakdancing!

  • @soyricojuanjo101 you didn't watched the whole thing

  • looks like copaeira but it just looks like flips but i thought it was great just true natural talent

  • I love capaira , wish I cud do Backflips , but can do the kicks , and cartwheels , verry good for the soul , Capoaira , music , dancing , getting fit and healthy , and meeting like minded people , one of the best martial arts , for that reason , jst the step bak in jinga can avoid any kick , punch :)

  • It's probably because you're fighting jeet kune do-style, but...your capoeira looks much like hiphop dancing.

    Still very nice though.

  • It's probably because you're fighting jeet kune do-style, but...you're capoeira looks much like hiphop dancing.

  • Awesome music! Who are the artists and where can I get the music from?

  • @Far7anR Only the strong soundtrack - donovan's mix and va-dj sandrinho - mestre da capoeira

    i wish you well!

  • @Far7anR second song is called Paranue it's from the movie Only the stong...

  • @Far7anR @UnknownFromHeaven The first songs are from the OST of the movie "Only The Strong" but the last one is not... what's the name of the last song dude? it's awesome! greetings from Peru!

  • @Ninjasuperk a-dj sandrinho - mestre da capoeira

  • is this choreographed or are you guys just sparring?

  • @Sycilist hello!, if you watch the whole videoclip you will see that it is a coreography between jeet kune do and capoeira and of course at the begining tai chi..the only problem is that in the first project we shot we were fooling around, and most guys do not watch the whole clip and start to judge based on our way of having fun..

    i hope you enjoy it!

    i wish you well!

  • you rock man !!!

    ahhaha ,, ,

  • you rock man !!!

    ahhaha ,, , :D

  • WARNING: NOTHING TO OUTPUT BFRAME DECODER LAG

  • I love it! I know bagua, chen and yang tai chi; plus some other styles of kung fu. You guys look like you are having a blast lol. I don't care how many nay sayers there are saying all sorts of bad about this video I got a kick out of it. Unlike some of these people I actually know my shit. Keep enjoying what your doing :)

  • @kaneda603 thanks a lot, check our main videos, hope you enjoy!

    i wish you well!

  • (not being insulting here) - The form is pretty sloppy for both the tai chi and the capoeira - BUT - there is GREAT energy in it, and you can see that both people were having a lot of fun (and that's extremely important) - plus there's commitment to the movements. I really hope everyone has continued to train! It would be awesome to see how far you've come in 2 years! If there's still this much energy and commitment to movement, I'm willing to bet it's really good if you kept it up!

  • @skelanth thank you, finally someone who could sence the work of my coreographies, yes, we did had lots of fun and back then i did not took tai chi so seriously, was fooling around a lot, after that tai chi changed my life.

And concerning the trainings , of course we had continued, you can visit my profile and check some vids hopefully you will enjoy!

  • tai chi is not a combat martial art idiots

  • @amyyxrawrr tai chi chuan is a form of kung fu, and a martial art, your comment shows great ignorance about this style and taoism

  • @UnknownFromHeaven You're misusing the term kung fu. Tai Chi cannot be kung fu. One may be kung fu in Tai Chi however. The term you're looking for is wushu, not kung fu. We are all ignorant.

  • @nexus1g you are ignorant, this shows how little you know about kung fu history, the term wushu was developed later being considered by many a soulless martial arts...i am talking about the forms of kung fu that were before of what you are talking about!

The Renegated Shaolin monks retreated to the south in the wu dang mountain and created another form of kung fu.

THE SHAOLINS USE TAI CHI KUNG FU TODAY because they combined NORTHEN WITH SOUTHERN KUNG FU and what is south is related to energy

  • @UnknownFromHeaven The term "kung fu" refers to excellence through training and practice in any discipline. One can be kung fu in blacksmithing while another person can be kung fu in wushu. "Wushu" is the word that means martial arts. It is not a type of "kung fu" as many believe, though one can be kung fu in wushu.

  • @nexus1g i undestand the concept of kung fu and that is the name of many styles such as shaolin fist, mantis, drunken fist , hun gar, etc etc...and the name is kung fu not wushu...wushu was developed later and indeed it means martial arts, but the concept appeared much later after original kung fu..please inform yourself especially about kung fu(documentaries) and tai chi chuan ..we can see in the chinese movies KUNG FU movies FLIX with shaolin vs wu dan cs tai chi , ninja..etc thats the proof

  • @UnknownFromHeaven You're not understanding. Kung fu has no specific tie with martial arts. The only definitive tie with martial arts it has was after export to the West in the 60's where the term was misunderstood and misused. Before that, kung fu was a description of a person's skill level in anything (not just martial arts, but tradeskills and pastimes too). Check out the etymology of the word for yourself before you continue to argue.

  • @nexus1g i understand that the term of kung fu may be applied to other domains..but as well it is and was in shaolin martial arts..and still are..i will not argue about it..WUSHU was introduced later..that is what you don't understand!

i am in the martial arts for 20 years so i am very informed..i wish you well!

  • @nexus1g The taoist were with long hair, and the hair reprezented the renegation they received since the shaolin were shaving the heads. Wushu has nothing to do with traditional ancient form of kung fu!

Wushu is based on Taolu - a combination of dance, acrobatic gymnastic and martial arts..thats not pure kung fu! and thats it.!

  • @amyyxrawrr Your name is for a girl. My opinion is that you're just a stupid girl! My husband is not idiot, bitch!

  • i spend 7 minutes watching then kidding...

  • @TheNaturePK if you did watched it 7 minutes, than i hope you enjoyed it, thats why i am posting videos, first because i love what i do, and the second motive is to share my hobbies with the world..

  • @Cryogun i think the only drunken shit around here is you, a guy spending his time at a pc picking on clips on youtube, you have no life, no activities or involvement in something and you question me?

you are nothing comparing to me.

have a good virtual life drunked shit!

  • @UnknownFromHeaven

    Thumbs up for you!

    Osu

  • looks like hes got the strength and flexibility but sloppy style. but we all get better. keep it up bro!

  • @djreyes8 this footage is old!

  • Tai chi is not a fighting style

  • @Bagel156 this comment is just showing how little do you know about tai chi chuan style!

Tai chi chuan is southern kung fu invented by Zang san feng in the Wu Dang Mountain, this fighting style permited him to survive the woods from wild animals.

I met someone before ,he was from japan too, and said the same thing, but i will not loose my time with this topic...just for your own knowledge, here where i am i can beat many people in the style of tai chi chuan.

p.s. - this video is really OLD

  • @UnknownFromHeaven sorry i thought it was a form of meditation mainly for older people. i do shotokan so i don't really know about tai chi, i probably shouldn't of posted that. p.s. what does it matter if its old?

  • @Bagel156 Tai chi chuan(grand ultimate fist) is a martial art and the art itself is related to Taoism , so yes, it contains meditation. every martial art can bring birth to morality ,education behind the skills.

The true purpose of all martial arts is not only to be a better martial artist, but also a better person.

I meant at the clip being old is that i agree that my skill back there was kind of silly, i was fooling around not being serious..but i have some samplers where i did took it serious

  • @Bagel156 oh, i forgot to tell you one more thing.

It is true that many old people practice tai chi chuan, they do that because tai chi chuan is very healthy and can increase and change your life special ways.

But i think all martial arts are healthy for the practicioners..it is important to treasure our skills and to maintain the health of mind and body, it is also important to engage in many sports.

    Best wishes!

  • @Bagel156 that being said.

    I wish you well!

  • @Bagel156 As Unknown said. Tai chi is a fighting style and an extremely effective one. one of the most effective of all in fact. The problem is that because of the fantastic health benefits of Tai chi and the fact that it was never a popular or widely known or practiced style, most people think it's just for health. The great health benefits from tai chi were a side effect, as with most gung-fu, of the training and not the reason for the training itself. It's only when doing the forms...

  • @Bagel156 that you practice slowly. Fighting tai chi is also practiced quickly for real life application. The slow part is done to time it with the chi flowing up from the dan tien after years of chi circulation training. This is where the great and deadly power of tai chi comes from. That's why moves can be done in a relaxed seemingly weak manner but have killing power. I have actually used such movements in real fights and it worked perfectly, even to my surprise. Regards...

  • @Gungfuman77 i agree, tai chi chuan has been integrated into many martial arts, and even other oriental concepts regarding the CHI vital force. it can be found in jeet kune do, capoeira and even in muay thai, the chi flowing with the slow exercises beyond the martial arts itself is pointing out the energy levels workout!

indeed, from my experience as well, tai chi is indeed the grand ultimate fist

the style not from this world as it is named by some.

    i wish you well!

  • 38 people are gays

  • @UnknownFromHeaven i was thinking if i can get in on one of these videos. i know capoeira too lol

  • @BBoyHawaii142 i guess if we will meet sometime, you can make coreography

  • But it's very good. I'd give it 8/10 personally

  • @BBoyHawaii142 thank you, though this is really old!

i didn t understand though your second question , you want to get in on some time, /what?

  • The capoeira is sloppy. Hey can I get in on this some time?

  • Its not that bad tbh xD

  • omg i hate haters!!!

  • @Blogination thank you!

Check out our new vids,or main video (this one is pretty old)

  • dude .... wtf???

  • Why does the tai chi guy try doing capoeria?

  • @JaysonGamerMusic it was a script "when the tai chi fighter meets the capoerista its strange and new for him, the tai chi trying to learn and adapt to that style...check our main videos..this is pretty old!

  • real fight:

"hey look at me, i can do a flip."

    "BBBAAAAAMMMM."

  • @timelessnugget lol :))

you know, there are real masters who can fight that way :))

  • What's this song called? :)

  • @NeverlandKitten except the chinese sound at the begining, are soundtracks from the movie "Only the strong" with Mark Dacascos.

Donovan's mix and zoom zoom zoom:)

    i wish you well!

  • @UnknownFromHeaven

    Heyy thanks!! :D

  • lol very interesting video even if it seems as if its scripted coreapgraphy.

  • @MalusvirZechin it is coreography and a lot of fun:)

  • More like JEET KUNE NOOOOOOT! Having said that I apologize, but I couldn´t resist...hey! great effort, and great idea, but all movements lack of strength, and some speed and agility. I know it takes decades of trainning...at least too. Keep it up and sorry again.

  • @AutomataAristotelico there is no need for that, besides the first clips are older,,you should look all of the video..and the second.we were fooling around..was nothing serious..check out my jeet kune do samplers.

    i wish you well!

  • Very beautiful to behold.

  • como se llama la cancion?

  • @chekooxx canciones son bandas sonoras en el cine "Only the strong" con Mark Dacascos:)

  • potrivita melodia.oooiaaiaiaaa :)))

  • yeah that first dude doesnt take tai-chi probably all takw capoeira and just imitate what theyve seen on tv
