  • Don't atheist have a good sense of humor? You have people like Bill Maher and Seth MacFarlane who I find hilarious. GO ATHEIST!

  • Albert Einstein made a brilliant quote. And as I watch this video I see a lot of old polititians like Honest Abe, Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine who were atheist. Than why is Christianity the official religion of this nation if our country was built by multiple atheist?

  • I'm a believer but i don't believe a lot of the stuff in the bible i.e. noah, the creation of earth etc the only thing i know is that humans evolved from primates, jesus came to earth 2000 years ago and there is some sort of higher power that we should worship

  • @coldplay230 You can't believe in part of the bible and consider the rest untrue or metaphoric. It's one way or the other.

  • @Scenarios actually you only go to heaven after god comes again so have a nice dirt nap

  • "As people become more intelligent they care less for preachers and more for teachers"

  • Very moving quotes in my opinion!

  • Einstein didn't believe in the biblical God, he believed in the God of nature, harmony and beauty. He said if God exists, he had nothing to do with humans.

  • How could somebody dislike this video?

  • another quote from me: "A religion with its mighty armies of thousands cannot stand against a few men using their dozens of brain cells."

  • Shame on those who said "this country was born a christian nation"

  • @RastaMob5 *Cough Rick Perry *Cough

  • They call all religious people stupid and naive, but Einstein said even he, believed in a God. So what about him, is everybody calling him stupid??

  • @Matrix9385 No, it's pure religious propaganda. That's like saying the previous Pope turned atheist on his deathbed. Watch the video, Einstein has two atheist quotes.

  • @Gogglezisnumber1 Apparently you haven't done research on Einstein because you will find that he believed in a Creator. What about this Einstein quote, ""Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind." I'm sure the quotes in the video are true, but he was still religious.

  • @Matrix9385 The idea of a personal God is an anthropological concept which I am unable to take seriously. (Albert Einstein, Letter to Hoffman and Dukas, 1946)

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. - AE

not stupid but also not religious, but people cant tell the latter

  • very very good quotes, "I dont mean to ridicule your beliefs, merely to question them" -me-

  • 31 people are religions.

I didnt insult them because i am not religious.

its funny how religious people are the ones that are known to be goody good, yet in a religious video this was the top rated comment "those 475 Atheist will surly burn for Eternity"

  • @TheIncrediblSuperSam

    Sounds so Christian of them.

  • Homer Simpson XD!!!! Apart from that... awesome quotes =)

  • @Acphillips there not their

  • @Acphillips1995 oh really, im pretty sure you were not their and two i wasnt the one with the threats so please do me the favor of fucking off douche bag. Dont be so quick to jump to conclusions and yeah that person is in juvy for it you little bitch

  • 5:04, love that one

  • Blaise Pascal ftw so much respect due to this man

  • Oh yeah and them saying we cant talk about religion in school almost caused another shooting thanks TO SOME GOD DAMN ATHEISTS SAYING WE CANT TALK ABOUT OUR RELIGION! AND MAKING IT ILLEGAL

  • You dumb asses think science proves everything well can it prove an exorcism and a person lifting 2 feet off the ground

    No it cant

And i have seen one so dont say oh they arnt real yeah they are and its some scary shit

  • @skullenbonez it cant prove things that isnt real, it can prove however, just how delusional you are

  • @skullenbonez I hope your joking, if your not your fucking retarded

  • @millennia I suggest you the off the drugs or stop dtnking

  • Here's a good quote "To each his own." I am happy living by God's word. Without religion, I wouldn't be as good of a person. Thinking about my realationship with God has helped me give up pot, get better grades, become a better athlete and more. Plus, being in a youth group has it's perks. I got to bang 3 girls in my sunday school class. (even though sex before marriage is a huge value in my religion) Religion is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

  • @TheEpicZucchini I feel sad for you.

  • what about Karl Marx? "Religion is the opiate of the people."

  • Thoughtful and intelligent quotes, not like that bronze-age book of fairytales.

  • @TheEctomorph ok i understand point but what have they done or left behind to help the other atheist what proof do we have of their theories its a cycle thats keeps going around with no end dont get me wrong i there are some things u guys make sense on we may even agree on certain things like the bible has contradiction stories but thats because of bad translations there has never been or will ever be another book on this planet with prophetic accuracy as the scriptures..oh i'm not american :)

  • hope you hypocritical minority stay a minority

  • @aztecas91 Hope for less atheists? You sent that message with a computer, didn't you?

  • @TheQueenIsAWhore well the people who came up with computers came up with it by using something that was actually real and i'm using it cause its real, the computer was invented by applying previous stuff that were fact like the telegraph machine which was something that was real, and made from real materials how do you make bronze? by using two metals that exist you combine copper and tin, these metals were not made up they existed, proof is by me holding it and seeing it in my hand

  • @aztecas91 Are you implying you are capable of proving "God" exists?

  • Comment removed

  • @aztecas91 But here is how we are not hypocrites. Because science tries it's hardest to prove it correct, rather than mindlessly claiming its truth because of a false book.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheQueenIsAWhore no one can say that copper and tin don't exist, and you can't say that dirt doesn't exists cause its all over us and its a fact

  • @godfreewomen do you realize that you atheists were brainwashed, while you were in school you were forced to read a book of unproven scientific theorys, and you take those unproven theorys and see them as fact! looks like your a hypocrit cause you see unproven things as fact and your hating on religions at the same time. before you hate on other peoples beliefs look at yourself and see whether or not if your beliefs are fact or not

  • idiots all of u in the end on their death beds they all believed, your arrogance on man made knowledge is annoying u spend your whole lives trying to prove that elohim dont exist and still have no so called factual evidence only theories that make no natural common sense man is corrupt not religion instead of using your high iq's on nothingness try to cure cancer or something like that because what u believe in is not giving u any happiness spiritually take care now :)

  • @outlaw2978 haha, or maybe we should sit down and pray really hard for a cure to cancer. but wait, god created cancer did'nt he? so why find the cure? god only lets evil people get it anyways right?

  • @outlaw2978 "idiots all of u in the end on their death beds they all believed ..."

Oh, get real; that is soooooooooo NOT true. For starters, several of the atheists whose critical comments (about religion) were quoted in the video footage [above] ARE STILL ALIVE. Sir David Attenborough, Professor Richard Dawkins and Mr Billy Joel, for example.

Whilst it may well be true that SOME of the (deceased) people on that list of distinguished non-believers, renounced their atheism and turned to

  • @outlaw2978 [continuing on from my previous 'post' about the myth that "there is no such thing as an atheist on the point of death.]

God at the very end of their lives, the fact remains that a substantial proportion of them did NOT succumb to the temptations - or threats - of religion on their death bed.

Let us take a quick 'butchers' (as we Brits say) at the case of Professor Carl Sagan, the highly distinguished Cornell University astronomer and physicist who died in

  • @outlaw2978 [continuing on from my previous 'post' about the myth that "there is no such thing as an atheist on the point of death.]

December 1996 (fifteen years ago this month). Professor Sagan - an exceptionally intelligent, quick-witted and clear-thinking man - was a lifelong sceptic of the Christian faith ... and was consistently and firmly opposed to ALL God-fearing, organised religions (such as Judaism and Islam, as well as Christianity). Some time after Professor Sagan's death

  • @outlaw2978 [continuing on from my previous 'post' about the myth that "there is no such thing as an atheist on the point of death.]

(at the relatively early age of 62), his widow, Ann, made it clear that he had NOT renounced his atheism during the last few hours of his life.

Professor Sagan was one of many distinguished non-religious people who followed in the illustrious footsteps, so to speak of the great 18th century Scottish philosopher and historian, Mr David Hume. Even at the very

  • @outlaw2978 [continuing on from my previous 'post' about the myth that "there is no such thing as an atheist on the point of death.]

end of his life, Mr Hume remained staunch in his disbelief in a Hereafter; i.e. the immortality of the human soul. The fact that Mr Hume did NOT succumb to the temptations - or threats - of the Christian faith, even on his deathbed, was confirmed by a gentleman by the name of Mr James Boswell.

If, as I suspect, you are one of those deeply religious,

  • @outlaw2978 [continuing on from my previous 'post' about the myth that "there is no such thing as an atheist on the point of death.]

bible-thumping, God-fearing Christians that believes the old myth that "there is no such thing as an atheist on the point of death", then you are very much mistaken ... sir. (As I have pointed out in this lengthy 'post' on You Tube.)

Oh, and just one more thing, sir: I refer to your claim that atheists tend to be "arrogant" people. Well, I have to say that,

  • @outlaw2978 [continuing on from my previous 'post' about the myth that "there is no such thing as an atheist on the point of death.]

in my experience, the average atheist is no more arrogant than the average Christian. Admittedly, there are SOME arrogant atheists - on both sides of the Atlantic - but there are also PLENTY of arrogant Christians. (The controversial right-wing American journalist and author, Ms Ann Coulter, is a good example of a deeply religious Christian

  • @outlaw2978 [continuing on from my previous 'post' about the old myth that "there is no such thing as an atheist on the point of death.]

who has a high degree of arrogance and conceit.)

Have a nice day (as you Americans say), sir.

  • @outlaw2978 matter in fact it does

  • Hey you forgo this quote:

Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness. The demand to give up the illusion about its condition is the demand to give up a condition which needs illusions.

    -Karl Marx

  • Lol I have OCD and I don't believe in men in the sky and Israelites turning sticks into snakes.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh! sooo! great swelling words, you would think they, the great Atheists in this video were here at creation, and we are all just a gas fart from eternity, ahhhh! the arrogance of the masses.

  • Great quotes :)

  • Excellent quotes, most of which I have not previously read. Makes me even prouder to be part of a minority of people that are able to use their mind properly.

  • @iLaughOut It does warm the heart!

  • @iLaughOut that's just it, tho...we are the largest minority, we atheists...more than blacks, latinos, gays, asians...so why aren't we as recognized as such? when will we ban together, step up and demand our equal rights, like freedom OF religion, like ACTUALLY practicing the fallacy of separation of church and state,,,,what are we so afraid of??? atheists need to come out of the closet NOW.

  • A World Without Religion

    Is A World Without War.

...dunno who said it.. GO ATHEISTS!

  • so poor it's lulzy,

you believe in sticks that turn into snakes =Christian.

well, you believe in space-rocks that turn into Humans = Atheist.

    we all believe indeed.

  • @TheMessanjah No, it's actually Christians who believe rocks turn into humans (Genesis 2:7). Deliberately misrepresenting science like that shows you don't have much confidence in your position.

  • @MrMaster90 yeah they did by divinity, all the earth's elements are dound in human bodies so they are the same stuff. however atheism claims this happened by random changes and without nothing supernatural and no reason from death itself, a blind change somehow created a seeing eye etc.

  • @TheMessanjah Again, that's a deliberate misrepresentation of evolution. We know exactly how and why organisms evolve and how these change come about naturally, and there's nothing random about it. Granted, evolution can be a bit difficult to understand, so I can see why you prefer to believe in magical creation, but that doesn't change the fact that evolution is demonstrably true. Go take a science class.

  • @MrMaster90 dont see any of those billions of transitional fossils nowhere that there should be everywhere like the ones between t-rex and chickens. its all made up really.

  • @TheMessanjah That's just because you won't look for fear of being wrong. We don't find any between tyrannosaurs and chickens because chickens aren't descended from tyrannosaurs. We do have fossils like oviraptor, microraptor, archaeopteryx, ichthyornis, and many others transitioning from ancient theropods to modern birds. Yet strangely, we never find any fossils of talking snakes or rib-women. It's quite hypocritical of you to believe in them. Jesus doesn't like hypocrites, you know.

  • @MrMaster90 fossil doesnt tell if it was talking or not, the rib has same materials as rest of the body, the fossil of of the rib-person doesnt tell was it a rib or not. t-rex to chicken was what some people claimed to be true, microratpro adn what ever are just differend species not transitionals mutants, and as you can already see. i can win all your arguments simply cuz im right. im right simply cuz the bible told us how things really went. >> (Romans 1:20)

  • @TheMessanjah Oh, you're a troll. Or maybe you actually are that stupid? Anyway, I should note that believing the Bible means believing Earth is flat (Isaiah 11:12 and 40:22, Job 38:13-14, Matthew 4:8, Daniel 4:10, Revelation 7:1, etc.) and resting on pillars (Job 9:6, 1 Samuel 2:8). So do you believe that or not? If not, you're admitting the Bible is wrong. If so, you're admitting you're too stupid to understand science, making this argument pointless.

  • @MrMaster90 yeah pillars which we cannot see, since science cannot explain how planets stay precicely on their tracks, and big bang would never made them so. four corners never meant flat, it means directions on the map S;N;W,E. (Isaiah 40:22) and when pagans belived earth is on top of giant elephants bible told how it is (Job 26:7) Once again i won your argument. but ofcourse winning arguments dont win hearts, you seem to have read the scriptures but look at dem in that twisted view

  • @TheMessanjah Interesting. You admitted that you're too stupid and dogmatic to understand science AND that the Bible is wrong. Don't forget that it also says Earth is immovable (Psalm 93:1, 96:10 and 104:5), so by admitting that the Earth orbits the Sun, you've conceded the Bible is bunk. By the way, it's gravity and the laws of motion that keep planets in orbit. Even a 2nd grader knows that. You believe it's literal pillars, which would only work on an immobile Earth, like in the Bible.

  • @TheMessanjah Oh, and don't forget that "corners" literally means "corners" not "directions" or "hemispheres" or anything superficially similar. You're a creationist; you have to take the Bible literally. You also failed to refute Earth's edges and ends that the Bible talks about, and how it's shaped like "clay under a seal." The Bible says Earth is flat; there's no escaping it. So once again, is the Bible wrong, or do you really believe Earth is flat?

  • @MrMaster90 lol, no i think the earth is a cube like allspark. rofl, but anyway im not a "nist" of any belief tho i know bible is true, if it talks about figurative things in translated language and out of context then it could be saying anything you want i guess. you should watch some vids at HovindSeminarSet channel, theres plenty proofs for you, arguing with you is pretty useless.

  • @TheMessanjah If you're going to lie about context and translation (despite the fact that I've already checked that) or say the Bible is figurative (despite it being meant literally), why not just say it's creation myth is a metaphor for evolution? It's just as wrong and just as ridiculous as any other argument you've made, and if you agree with science on astronomy and geography, you may as well agree on biology. I've seen people try that argument before.

  • @MrMaster90 i wish i could make a huge bet about bible being true with you, but we'll see it eventually. but if we're on the differend sides still then, i cant get my payment from you. atheists usually "cant find God" cuz of the same reasons a thief "cannot find a police officer".

  • @TheMessanjah What are you talking about? The reason I can't find God is because he doesn't exist outside of your imagination. And we can bet on the Bible's truth or falsity right here, considering how we've already shown it to be wrong about pretty much everything. Biology, astronomy, physics, psychology, ethics, math, logic, geology, geography, history, it contradicts just about everything we know about reality. Do you really think it's right about anything?

  • @MrMaster90 things you mentioned have never prooven that there is no god. now, go live your irreplaceable life and quit wasting it arguing with me, im not wasting mine cuz im evangelizing.

  • I love how there's an ad to get a religious degree on this page.

  • I always thought Abe Lincoln beleived in God .

Some atheists sound very familiar . Lulu .

  • i'm an atheist myself and still i pray... appreciation of sunrise or witnessing flowers that bloom or meeting a good stranger with a good conversation in a strange day and treasuring a smile on the memory does not require religion but defines existence of God... and God's definition does not mean non-existence of evil-doers or hateful things... or that man in a cross... "pleasing is a lot different than good".. so as faith ad belief..

  • @MrOrtseid

I must stress, in the words of "Monty Python": "you are a silly person." You cannot say "I am an atheist" and then argue the existence of a god. You are, in loose terms, agnostic. In my own terms, you are a 'non-practicing (insert religion here)'.

  • Peace is the business of the church

  • @lilwayneencore makes me cry x

  • No ruler was an atheist except maybe some mad dictators like stalin or all the communist mass murderers in asia and africa!! If atheists begin to rule us then we know we have leaders who are either homosexuals or psychopaths!! Thats gonna be our end!! Islam is THE religion for mankind!! Im a serb who converted to Islam last year and that gave me the peace I needed and answered my questions!! Peace my brothers and sisters!!

  • @mentorpodgorica FYI, Adolf Hitler was a professed christian, and if you lived in Germany at that time, you'd have been one of his blind lemming Nazis, marching to Russia to die for another stupid religious cause,in another stupid religious war. ALL WARS ARE FOUGHT BY PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT BELIEFS. The Bible says that God Hates WAR. So do Athiest. Yet, the Holy Crusades continue. Thou shall not kill. Why can't some Christians understand this? Calm down on the peace loving athiests,DOUCHEBAG IDIOT!

  • @mentorpodgorica What questions did it answer? why didnt other answers suffice? why do you need religion in order to be at peace? Whats wrong with being a homosexual? Are you calling all atheists homosexuals and psychopaths?

You are a sad man who is too weak-minded to face reality without a crutch.

  • @mentorpodgorica

You know, Australia has had an an atheist for Prime Minister since the end of June last year. She's run the country well so far (I've yet to hear reports of homosexuality or psychopathy). Have I mentioned she's also the first woman to become Prime Minister of Australia?

Other examples: Jawaharlal Nehru of India, Santiago Casares Quiroga of Spain, Clement Attlee and James Callaghan of the UK, Dimitris Christofias of Cyprus and Jens Stoltenberg of Norway. None as bad as you say.

  • australia has no power to start a third world war anyway...

  • @mentorpodgorica

Does it have to? First you say that all atheists who have ever ruled any country were either "mad dictators like stalin" or "communist mass murderers in asia and africa" and that any future atheist heads of state would have to be "either homosexuals or psychopaths!!", then you are disproven by a ten minute search of the internet and you shrug it off with "australia has no power to start a third world war anyway". Who cares? They're ruled by an atheist and they're fine.

  • today presidents are weak they cant do anything without asking parlament etc. so its not a good example!! Look at dictators who were atheists and you will see something....

  • @mentorpodgorica

Your point? Dictators are very often malignant people. Sometimes downright genocidal. Just look at people like Sadam Hussein, Moamar Ghadaffi and Omar al-Bashir. All Muslims. Does that suddenly mean a Muslim ruler would be a bad idea, would in fact do just what they did? If they were secular and had some good ideas I'd vote for them regardless of what others of their faith had done. You on the other hand, by your own standards now can't anymore.

  • It really strikes me - these are/was all thinking, intelligent and wise men.STILL,some just CAN'T use the noggin' and misses the point over and over again. Jappin' about Jefferson said that or if he REEEEEEALLY was an atheist! Those children has turned their back on the truth ,the earth, the universe and foremost - themselves. This is your time on earth and you willingly stuff the brain with cotton!

  • Your a lying bastard. Jefferson was not an atheist.

    Quote:

Among the most inestimable of our blessings is that ... of liberty to worship our Creator in the way we think most agreeable to His will; a liberty deemed in other countries incompatible with good government and yet proved by our experience to be its best support.

-- Thomas Jefferson, Reply to Baptist Address, 1807

  • @lucianarg30

He was however a Freethinker and a Religious Skeptic, as the description claims.

  • If Blaise Pascal was an atheist, then Usain Bolt is a mediocre sprinter, with very little natural athletic talent!! Mr Pascal was a 17th century philosopher and mathematician, whose main claim to fame is that he invented an argument known as "Pascal's Wager", which is designed to put the fear of Christ (quite literally) into atheists and agnostics. I suppose that it is remotely possible that Mr Pascal went through a fleeting phase of atheism or agnosticism in his youth, but all historians

  • @TheEctomorph [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about Blaise Pascal]: of religion are agreed that, from the middle years of his life onwards, he was a devout Roman Catholic believer.

  • i start to go crazy when i think about dieing, cus its just like befor birth , u dnt kno nothing ,,,,,

  • H.P Lovecraft All I say is that I think it is damned unlikely that anything like a central cosmic will, a spirit world, or an eternal survival of personality exist. They are the most preposterous and unjustified of all the guesses which can be made about the universe, and I am not enough of a hair-splitter to pretend that I don't regard them as arrant and negligible moonshine"

  • This fucker started laughing at me for "believing we came from monkeys". Very respectfully i told him i do not. I believe in two gods, one that created people and one that created animals, you don't believe the same god who created animals created you, right?

  • Phenomenal Video!

  • First dislike!!! I win!!!!

  • Just to be clear, the video truncates the Ben Franklin quote. It only gives us half the sentence. The full sentence gives us context that completely changes what is being said.

  • Um...Thomas Jefferson? Did he not write the Declaration of Independence? "...endowed by their Creator (capitalized by Jefferson) with certain unalienable rights..." and "...the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them..." and "...with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence..." Think and research before you compile and post.

Atheism is just a synonym for self-love.

  • @Saved32211 I've actually did a little study on this. I'm sorry I can't give you sources because it's been a while. According to what I found, Jefferson meant the god of nature, not any particular god of a religion. Atheism is certainly not a synonym for self-love. Atheism is simply a disbelief. I tend to love others as much or more than myself, in the case of my family. We simply see no evidence for a god. There is a self-respect issue, but certainly not self-love.

  • @MsLilithJS I would certainly love to see that source, because, with all due respect, that has to be one of the most desperate and intellectually dishonest arguments I've ever heard/read. The God of nature? And who/what exactly is that?

Look, for some reason, Christians and atheists long to have Jefferson on their side in this argument. The truth is, he was not a true Christian nor was he an atheist. Jefferson was strongly opposed to most organized religion, but he was not an atheist.

  • @MsLilithJS He opposed the church because of its abuse of power and because he saw it as distorting the Word of God, as well as the teachings of Jesus Christ. He signed his letters and documents with "The Year of Our Lord" and "The Year of Our Lord Christ" and referred to himself as a Christian, albeit not in the traditional sense. I believe the quote attributed to him is as follows: "I am a Christian in that I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ." He was not an atheist. That's clear.

  • @Saved32211 I didn't claim he was an atheist. I just revealed what my studies showed. You can look it up, too. A lot of people signed letters that way back then. We used to say "After Death" for "AD". That really doesn't tell much. I believe it's possible that he leaned toward Christianity but wasn't a die-hard Christian. That really doesn't matter here. He said what he said. You can't change that with your "but.. but.." The Atheist part I brought up was because of your attack on Atheists.

  • @Saved32211 Jefferson took the bible and rewrote it because it's a piece of shit!

  • @Flaw55 You are obviously an intellectual giant and I'm sure your fellow atheists are proud to have you on their side. Stay classy, Flaw. Stay classy.

  • Phenomenal Video!

  • I believe in God, but I also believe that we should not have religion. God didnt make rules for us to follow, we should do things according to what make us feel good. I also think that being athiest is very complex, because there is no way nature could have been created by itself or by accident. For nature to be so perfect, something might created it.

  • @proudtobebrazilian Nature is not perfect, though. It only seems to be perfectly suited for the organisms living within it because we evolved to work with what nature provides. You're coming on the scene a few million years into life's existence, so you're looking back on history and seeing how wonderfully in-sync we are with the world.

This creates an illusion of design. You would need to be at the begining looking forward to see how un-perfect this world was for us.

  • Lets put a bunch of athiests inside an airplane, turn it off in the air and see what is the first name they will say. GOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD

  • sorry religious people......atheists are right! -God

  • Do you mean the real science of the piltdown man? Where are all the in between half man half gorilla examples?? If we evolved over millions of years there should be all kinds of examples of part man part monkey . Not just man how about all different kinds of fish birds and other animals . WHERE ARE ALL THE EXAMPLES? Where are they at? I would like to see them . Show me, there must be billions of examples of change out there . You can't show me because they don't exist!!!!! Only a theory.

  • @leo567591 true, it is only a theory. but so is gravity. yet we know for a fact it exists. and it works, since we're still glued to this planet pretty firmly. there was actually a futurama episode that did the same thing you did, well wheres the link between this and that, and so on and so forth. its impossible to find every single link, how many millions of dinosaurs lived, just in one species, and how many fossils of those do we have? not as many as you might htink, most of you see is casts.

  • This may be one of the very best videos on youtube!!!

  • rulers as useful*

  • "Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and the rulers are useful." - Seneca

Wow... beautifully said. We can see it right here in America. Ever heard "God bless America" after every asswipe politician gives a speech? Ya. Good shit. While I'm at it, they have total control over your life, just stating facts.

  • All the founding fathers where Deist. Not Atheist. There is a difference. And even if Abraham Lincoln didn't believe in Christianity. That hardly proof that he was Atheist. Atheist or Anti Theist away demand proof for the beliefs of others. But not when it comes to claiming historical figures for there cause.

  • @Tuber77 FIRST of all its "were Deist" not "where Deist". Second, Abraham Lincoln was not a founding father, he was not even born in the same century as the founding fathers. THIRD, Benjamin Franklin to this day is considered one of the greatest scientists that ever lived. If someone made him choose between Science and god he would have chosen the former. FORTH, you can't know what they thought based on what's written on paper. TJ was fucking his slave girls, and BF liked prostitutes and weed.

  • @CIEGE1000 I was not asserting that Abraham Lincoln was a founding father. Only that even if Lincoln wasn't a christian. Hardly is evidence that he was Atheist.. I hope correcting my spelling help your superiority complex.

  • @Tuber77 Maybe he wasn't an atheist not that I'd want him to be one anyway, he was pro-slavery, which I and all moral thinking people abhor. And yes it does help my towering superiority complex to correct your spelling and grammar. I do love people like you who make so many mistakes, you are a little bitch punching bag for my intelligence. This kind of shit never gets old.

  • @Tuber77

"if Lincoln wasn't a christian. Hardly is evidence that he was Atheist"

Acutaly there is, his partner in Law and his speech writers wrote letters about his Atheism.

"he asked me to erase the word God from a speech I had written and read to him for criticism, because my language indicated a personal God, whereas he insisted that no such personality ever existed" Mr. Herdon for example

  • @CIEGE1000

we'er, not were (sighs). It's a contraction for 'we are'. Were is old english that means 'half-man'. And Hitler was a catholic, so who cares if our man, Ben Franklin, like 'low women' <~ as he put it in his journals, or smoking?

  • @xenxander Tuber was saying that the founding fathers "where deist" and I was correcting him because his spelling and his facts were wrong. You're right Hitler was catholic which is one of the numerous reasons I am not (cause he was an asshole).

  • I like how there are Simpsons quotes.

  • Funny thing is most of them in the video are in Hell now.

  • @antisanta11 I sincerely hope you're joking.. because no one can be that stupid

  • @antisanta11 Really antisanta? how do you know? have you any proof that verifies your claim?

  • @antisanta11

yeah probably having a ball with the Great Lord LUCIFER!

  • The title of this video is a lie.

Of course what can you expect from atheists.

“It amazes me to find an intelligent person who fights against something which he does not at all believe exists.” -- Mahatma Gandhi

  • @bluegsp I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. Religion does, in fact, exist.

  • @thabookwyrm Gandhi was talking about god. its not that difficult to follow along.

  • @thabookwyrm Religon is a noun, but not as person place or thing , just idea :)

  • As great as the quote by Darwin is, he certainly wasn't an atheist. xD

Good video, though; and all quotes are fantastic.

  • Ben Franklin's quote doesn't mean he was athiest.

  • At 5:50 you get Seneca.

    Seneca and anger.

    Seneca and stuff.

    Seneca was a philosopher/statesman/tutor, etc.

Addressing Murphy's Law, 'Touchwood', over-expectations, etc.

SHIT HAPPENS, allow for it - Seneca (Circa: Seneca's time).

It was Seneca, not Forrest Gump.

Do your homework on Seneca. As a result of adopting his philosophy on anger I end each day contented, despite all the shit that happened.

  • @TheSyrupMan Really, Stalin wasn't atheist? Thank GOD, I thought Christians would never shut up about it.

  • For generations the entire populace of Russia had been taught that the head of state was supposed to be close to god. At the time in question, the head of the church in Russia was a tyrant. The Russians were already disposed to servility and all Stalin did was exploit these two facts, and place himself in the position of god. Once Stalin was firmly seated in office, he revived the Russian Orthodox Church in order to intensify patriotic support for the war effort. Stalin not an atheist.

  • @TheSyrupMan

All of his religious pandering was purely for political purposes. It doesn't mean he wasn't an atheist.

But its okay if he was an atheist, really; we know he didn't do his works in the name of atheism, so even if he WAS an atheist is beside the point.
