we went in september. it was okay. if it is ur 1st cruise or ur cruising just for hawaii, DO IT. if you do it for the ship, dont set ur expectations too high. remember, a cruise is a cruise, so enjoy urself
I just returned from this cruise today. I was WONDERFUL. From the moment I checked in to walking off the ship I was in heaven. The crew is sooo friendly and very helpful. The food was to die for. I would suggest that you stay away from the buffet and enjoy the dining experience of The Liberty Room or Skyview. They offer a great selection without the wait or the noise of the cattle call of the buffet. The balcony room was small but very nice. I wouldnt do less than that.. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!
@DCNamazing RC Might be better, but you can't do Hawaii with RC. I'll admit, RC is better cruising sometimes but Hawaii has beat most places I've visited!

One of the best parts was that we had a balcony on (i think) Deck 8 and we saw 2 dolphins jump out of the water right next to us so i loved it, but it was my very 1st cruise also....
Will be going on this cruise later this year. I have been reading many of the reviews posted online [most of them rate this cruise as being anywhere from "average" to "poor"]. However when this is the ONLY "island-hopping" cruise one can take without having to spend days at sea cruising all the way there from California or Mexico .... then it's obvious why it doesn't have to be a top-notch cruise ship -- because there's no real competition for them. Simple as that!
Went on it for Our Honeymoon in Jan 2009. Food was good. Buffet was not to good. Went to the Sushi bar was was fairly pleased. I give that ship a C+ to B- I wont sail it again but would try other NCL ships.
Went in January 2010. I had a great time. There are several different resturants to choose from, from Sushi to Steak. If you try one different resturant everyday, you would not have enough time to try everything. The nightlife onboard the ship is so so, as everyone goes to bed early & wakes up early to participate in the shore excursions. The music performance from Toby Beau is excellent. Try to catch all of their performances. Overall, I had a great time with my family. Recommended Cruise!!!!!
just got back from this cruise a week ago.....gotta be honest,,,the food sucked big time,,was not worth the money and they added the fucking tip on your bill,,,whatta rip off,,service was just ok,,,,why do they add that on the bill?when on their website they state tipping is not mandatory,,,,sucks
I was on that ship. It's been my only NCL, and I can't say I was all that impressed. Service was okay, food was mediocre, and I just wasn't as impressed as I have been with other cruise ships / lines.

Funny how they call it Norwegian Cruise Lines. As both Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines also are Norwegian.
Ever been on one of them?
The cruise I have been on with the best service most have been The Princesa Marissa, owned by Louis Cruise Lines, food was outstanding as well.
