  • Niektore maja dar

    By moglem prubowacz nic stego by wychodzilo z mojego glosu

  • Whatever the song itself may be, the introduction heard here certainly is from the well known 'Addio' of Tosti. This fact may be verified by checking any of the versions (including the English ones - 'Good-bye') available here on Youtube.

    Aside from that, the recording shows a voice of very attractive quality. Perhaps the singer's career might have had wider acclaim had it not been so eclipsed by that of the older, more famous brother.

  • I am terribly satisfied by your clear hearing the music: it is taken from J. Schmidt's "Addio" intentionaly (also appears in many other presentations !) - by a prosaic reason: to prevent from copying the main recording, which I explained in detail on my front page;

    left side.

    Ladies in my family prefered Ladis (Władysław).

    Best wishes !

  • Thank you for so kindly explaining this matter, as to why you used this method to frustrate illegal copying of the record.

    The more I hear this voice the greater my enjoyment of it. Thank you for posting this example of the work of a rarely heard artist.

  • Incredible voices from the past. So clearly they sing to us and those beautiful images of a Russia long buried. With your haunting posts I am learning about the vibrant culture of Poland and Russia before WW2.

  • Such words bring a moment

    of a true satisfaction for the one

    who still cares to create or cast

    these things.

    Thanks.

  • What a great recording!

    Yes, the Kiepura family had a great talent of singing. Some of the most beautifil voices in european music history ever!

    Also beautiful Russian pictures.

    Thank you very much for uploading.

    Ratings disabled, so here is my five start. I wish I could give many more stars, this recording deserves it, indeed!!

  • Beautiful singing....engaging melody....and WONDERFUL sound for a 1937 recording. Thank you for this posting.

  • It was a real friendly finding, Geo.

    I am pleased you liked it.

    German records of that period sounded

    perfectly, especially of Odeon

    and Electrola.

    Thanks.

    J.

  • Piękny głos cudownie posłuchać piękne.

  • Great, wonderful posting.... THANK YOU, JERZY! Doug --

  • Wladyslaw "at last" showed his

    voice...::)))

    I am pleased with your words.

  • Beautiful song and pictures that are so essentially Russian!

  • Brother in a shade of the ... famous Brother.

    Thank you.

  • Majarska?  Kto, szto eto?

    Klimat i atmosfera - 0:59 !

    Hej, hej! - 2:11 ...! Wspaniałe!

    Dziękuję za to.

  • U mnie w domu mawiało się, że Władek

    nie był wcale gorszy od Jana, i że to umowa między braćmi ustawiła...

    hierarchię ...::))

    Majarska - tu imię tęsknych westchnień

    naszego bohatera.

    Dość typowa niemiecka "Heimweh" za

    rosyjskimi klimatami - z Wołgą i bałałajką;

    co z lepiej znającym j.niemiecki język

    towarzyszem, zdołaliśmy wysłyszeć.

  • ...imię obiektu (!) tęsknych westchnień...

    (winno być !)

  • Dziękuję za metaforę "Majarskiej" - ładna!

    Bracia - były nawet głosy, że tenor Władysława piękniejszy, o "umowie" -

    także słyszałam ( czytałam).

    Jedno pewne, warto słuchać obydwu !

  • Great song of Kiepura?

    Thank Mr jurek

  • Mr. Jurek ! This is very special presentation !

    Thank you! G.
