  • Gimli is in the most deleted scenes, this is why we dont get to know his character as much compared to the others

  • "We have not had dealings with the Dwarves since the Dark Days."

"And you know what this Dwarf says to that?! Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul!"

    "That was not so courteous."

  • Ah so happy to call the SEE Bluray my own (my precious). Looking forward to the holidays.

  • Haldir... the Gay Elf

  • thanks for uploading :)

  • gimli said "I spit upon your grave" haha.it's the dwarvish speech of kazahd

  • dwarfs > elfs .

  • Darken Rahl disguised as an elf! Nothing to worry about though, the Seeker'll find him anyway. XD

  • 2:16 Haldir did not say that in the book, and he's in the wrong place. He was in a tree.

  • este es mi bosque :)

  • Sean Bean gives a great performance as Boromir!

  • Gimli:And you know what this Dwarf says to that? Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul! (I spit upon your grave!)

    Aragon:That was not so courteous.

  • Gimli pretty much said shove it up your ass, haldir.

  • 3 people spoke so loud and got shot in the dark

  • what says Gimli ?

  • lol when they were all gathered around the fellowship if i were legolas i would been "yo whut up im an elf" its funny cause then in the next scene haldir is like "yeah sorry we almost shot you with arrows" lol

  • This shows what I love about Boromir. He was not just some arrogant man who wanted the Ring. He was brave and kind and the words he speaks to Frodo are really touching. I wished this was part of the theatrical release....Oh well.

  • I love Haldir's expressions... So full of arrogance sometimes.

    Especially at 1:57 :p

  • As much as I love Haldir, I also dislike that they cut this scene (and many others) because it took out some character development of Boromir that showed him to be a better person than what was portrayed in the theatrical version :(

He wasn't just some jerk who wanted the ring!

  • @Sanriko True...I think Boromir was portrayed worst of all the Fellowship. In the book he proves far to many times that he is indeed a brave and strong man, the cares for his honor and the honor of his people. The scene where he tries to steal the ring is just a moment of weakness, for which he will repent later, giving his life for Merry and Pip. One of the bravest characters in LOTR..

  • Gimli´s words:

     Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul.

    transl:'I spit upon your grave'

;) A few asked for the meaning of his words

  • Haldir is a bit too chubby for an elf, though.

  • HALDIR IS LAW!!!

  • those woods look amazing. i'd love to find it and just walk around, with a bow and arrow of course lol

  • *squeals* oh i love you for this, forso long iv tried to find this scene and couldnt. only after my LOTR absession died that i find it. your bringing it back and i love you for it! thank you!

  • I forgot about what Boromir says to Frodo at the end of this clip. Touching.

  • top scene from the greatest movie trilogy ever...

  • What was Haldir and Legolas talking about?

  • @rizkypsi How Gimli smelt really bad.

  • I love Haldir, sucks he was killed off in the second movie

  • The lord of the rings is the fucking winnest

  • Lol at legolas's run

    Hahaha silly little elf

  • "I have the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox."

"You breath so loud, we could have shot you in the dark."

I love the look on Gimli's face!

  • I so love the dwarves of lotro hehe :) so outspoken much as myself but even moreso :)

  • That, and Aragorn has a connection with the Lorien Elves that Legolas doesn't- his girlfriend is Galadriel's granddaughter.

  • Haldir was a small role, but Craig friggin' nailed it. He got one of the best lines and delivered it perfectly. I also love that brief shot of him at 1:56 - *that* is not an elf you should try to mess with. :)

  • Gimli: Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul

    Español: "Maldigo sobre vuestros cuellos"

    English: "Curse on your necks"

  • Perfect...

  • anyone know what gimli said?

  • I spit upon your grave

  • Comment removed

  • gimli looks sooo wierd without his helmet on.

  • I adore this scene, though I also don't agree with having Aragorn deal with Haldir. Legolas is the elf of the Fellowship, and in the book it was him who greets Haldir and his brothers. :/ Nonetheless, Craig is freaking amazing in this scene, I love his voice.

  • I love how even though this was a scene that had to be in the extended version, it was not in the book, still! lol I mean kind of, but Frodo translated it to sam as they waited below the Talan. They weren't allowed up until LEGOLAS persuaded Haldir and his brothers (Orophin, and Rumil ) to let them up.

  • BAAD Gimli

  • lol, Gimli is such a racist

  • Does Legolas wear other clothes in 1:35?

  • I think that was one of the first scenes they ever filmed of Legolas, and they still hadn't decided on his final costume at that point. They were hoping people wouldn't notice, hehe. :p

  • cool I will have to rent it on DVD. I first saw it on VHS and I have it on VCR cassettes.

But they do not add the deleted scenes.

    Thank you for responding.

It is my all time favorit movie.

  • was this a cut scene? I watched all the movies of the lord of the rings and I did not see this scene at all.

  • Yes, it was cut from the theatrical version. This scene is available in the extended edition though.

  • Craig Parker kicks ass, IMO Haldir was cooler than Legolas...

  • @maksmagnum That he does! I watch this amazing new episodes he stars called Legend of the Seeker and he plays a great tyrant too! He's a great actor!

  • I could not stop grinning. I actually had to pause the video several times in order to squee.

  • One of the best scenes of LOTR, the other one is the one at Helms Deep.

Why? Because it shows Haldir; the ultimate Elf.

I'm fallen in love with a screendream

  • the dwarf breaths so loud we could shot him in the dark

  • i agree with that 100% !!! =]

  • Haldir is bloody gorgeous! And in real life the actor playing him, Craig Parker, looks even better! I've been hit for this, but to me he was always more handsome than Legolas/Orlando Bloom.

  • Orlando and Craig are equally gorgeous in my opinion. But I think Haldir looks better than Leggie because his eyes are actually are that pretty in real life.

  • hehe :P i wonder what gimli said...

  • excellent video I like very much

  • Haldir: We have not had dealings with the Dwarves since the Dark Days.

Gimli: And do you know what this Dwarf says to that? Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul! *I spit upon your grave!*

  • is that what it really means?? lol i've been wondering what Gimli said.....thanks =]

  • What great lines.

  • <3 Haldir!! he's so damn pretty all the Lorien elves are!!

  • When I saw Haldir I was like SEVERUS IN LUCIUS BODY!!! It was almost (not exactly) like the scene in Harry Potter and the Socerer's Stone when Severus said "Mr. Potter, our new celebrity". Only it's "the dwarf breathes so loud" I dunno the rest, can anyone tell me the rest of what Haldir said?

  • "The Dwarf breathes so loud we could have shot him in the dark."

  • the dwarf breathes so loud, we could have shot him in the dark.. hahaha

    I love him! =)!

  • amaaaazing music!

  • awersome

  • excelent video,I like very much this movie

  • nice video, haldirs first line always amuses me

  • Is this a part in Lothlorien that is extended,

cause I dont remember seeing Legolas and Haldir talking to each other.

  • Yep.

  • dangit

  • The best film! Thanks!!!!

  • sometimes I wish I knew what they were arguing about. ;) thx

  • I know! I haven't been able to find any translations on the Web. ;p
