@Giovanniram22, There are some cheaper programmers on the market (~15 EUR), and from what I hear, they're working fine. I've no experience with them, only with the PICKit2 (the first one I got eventually burned out and Microchip sent me a new one at their expense - the second is working fine ever since). Being a noob, I appreciated the beginner's kit, with the circuit board and the PIC all wired up (not that it's hard to do it yourself, but, as I said, I was a noob back then :))
Is there a cheap programmer board?
I have in mind a project with PIC12F629 but I dont want to spend much. (I am new with pic programming).
