  • TCC!!!!

  • Awesome, i remember this, I used to love TCC

  • I wish there was an Australian version of TCC.

  • Wooww I remember TCC!! I used to watch my favourite show on it; Gigantor, I think it was called. Ahhh the memories...

  • @steviegTVreturns - Well i know how the thing happened. C&W probably recorded four weeks of TCC programming. So C&W launched THEIR version of TCC. All they did is repeat the same 28 days of programming all over and over again. IT WAS BORING! TV Travel Shop lasted from 1998 to 2004, and Challenge is now different!

  • @utubeguy35 Well the TCC thing makes sense, it did seem like the same things over and over again.

  • I never heard of TCC, cuz I dont live in the UK. But I do know that TCC lasted from 1984-1998 on 95% of TVs. TVs with Cable and Wireless got it until around 1999.

  • @utubeguy35 TCC was only available on Satellite and Cable, which during the 1990s many people in the UK didn't have (compared to 2010), the official UK version off TCC ended in April 1998. But Cable & Wireless either took the scandinavian version (which was still running at that time) or they were playing out broadcast tapes of TCC from CWC HQ, but this didn't last long as CWC removed it in September 1998. I hope that clears it up for you.

  • LAME

  • THIS ISN'T PRIZE TIME

  • I love this do you have any clips from Tiny TCC it woud be great to see that on you tube

  • When did Challenge get the new look?

  • August or September 1998 it revamped

  • July 1998

  • I heard somewhere that the reason why Cable & Wireless carried the nordic version of TCC for sometime after the TCC as we knew it shut down was because C&W were annoyed that they were not informed of its closure. This is apparently why they decided to carry the nordic version and why they did not do the same as what happened when it closed on satellite, which never carried this version.

  • Hey! You copied me.

  • This was REALLY weird. I remember there were no adverts and let's say you were watching Batman. You would see a filler which said, You're watching Batman and this is TCC and it would have this music.

  • This is the Nordic TCC in the United Kingdom on Cable services.

  • I'd wish TCC still exists and keeps that logo. :(

  • @supersmith3000 tcc is not cameing back

  • Challenge Prize time was axed in 1999 being replaced by The Games Room.

  • lol the prize time ident (The bit where there's lots of circles and springs were flying) looks similar to the HIT Entertainment logo that used 2000-2007

  • Weird cable version, is this the one that replaced the real TCC on that day when it said it was coming back the next day and was never seen again? As seen in one of your other clips.

  • Yep it is indeed, it came on the Monday after the original TCC closed down, it lasted until October and Cable & Wireless saw sense to drop the channel, as there were many times it didn't appear or the fact the programming available was very limited. It only took them until July 1999 to finally get TV Travel Shop on there.

  • I really miss TCC. I remember clearly when i was a couple years old that i watched TCC day in and day out. In Sweden, where i live, i rembember it cut from TCC at 6 PM to Discovery Channel. Ohh, those memories :)

  • Well, here in the UK Challenge TV came after TCC.

  • ...Old... What can i say?
