you should save the money and buy something with a V8 like a mustang or a camaro. You can find them used for around the same price as a nice civic, and they actually perform well stock.

Practical experiments on the road with my V4 son. been driving since grade 4. From Niagara falls to Toronto, smoked a HEMI 300C and a Chevy Impala, with my stock V4 camry. smoked tons of V6s on many occasions on red lights, of course all were stock. if you dont believe me, meet me. i got the guts and balls so much that even GOD wont take a chance with me.And no sire V4s still exist because of the constant gas price fluctuations. V4s a much better deal in city. id smoke anything with my camry.

if you have a v6, you can easily beat him. the camry is lighter than the newer accords but not by much. car and driver, had the v6 camry at the quarter mile faster by a quarter of a second than the wrx.

I'll have to disagree with some of you about the CAMRY (new gen model) being a granny car or having drivetrain loss, my '07 v6 SE can cut corners like a bat out off hell and it looks and handels great. The more mods you give it the better it becomes, although that's true of any car with mods. I have to say that a stock "new" CAMRY v6 can get the job done anytime.

Don't know if there's a way yet for the consumer to change to ECU's settings, but I work at TMMK, in power train / machining, and I'm told that the engine could be turned up to 300bhp with absolutely no mechanical changes. It's where it is, stock, for emissions and mileage.
