For everyone saying there's many interpretations... Not really. It's simple, it's just talking about how technology has advanced and become so powerful, and how people can do so many things with society today.
Tis the true power that America as a nation possesses within itself. As a nation established less than 300 years ago, we have done more, advanced more, and affected the world more than any other country ever to exist in our known world. Our true potential is imminent within everything. Our music is played in every other country where legally allowed. Almost every other nation strives to learn our language. The power we as a nation hold, could in fact, end the world in a holocaust.
@TheChancelor01 Dude it´s cool that you love your country and all... I´m not a expert on the subject, but i have a feeling english is around quite longer than america...
Also what you call "striving to learn your language" i would call edjucation. But hej what do I know, I´m just german ;-)
U guys cant figur it out? THE SPEAKER OF THE SONG IS THE GOVERNMENT. Now listen to it and imagine he is the governments of the world.. Itll be a different song...
ok so the song is about a talented kid whom grew up to be a maniac world leader whom triggered wars and ended up using multiple nuclear missiles which was guided by a satellite and caused a holocaust. for those who didnt know
My interpretation of this video is that there's this kid is arrogant from when he was a kid and he is always bragging. The brags start off childish but as he grows up he is getting more and more out of control and then he's like a dictator and a violent power hungry man.
There is something about this song that makes you feel a certain way. The desperate realization that your life could be ended so easily, and how rich a life could be.
if u c the vid its way better it tells the story of 2 boys (brothers?? idk friends!)
they grew up and one is the "famous rapper" (he did get rich etc. first strophe.)
the other one got a really important person (second an third strophe) at the end the two "friends" are not friends anymore one is protesting on the streets vs the other in his on building a big tower. .... <3
It's awsome more people need to feel this way and act like it. We need to change all the shit that is screwed up in the world the youth of America or were done for.
this song is amazing. I love the way it starts off with the creepy half-whisper "I can ride my bike with no handlebars" - as if there is something more sinister to come from that seemingly innocent show of skill.
to me, that first lyric pans out to represent an arrogant and scary attitude of America towards the rest of the world.
@DomuDude the no handlebars thing you could paraphrase as the childhood part is rather a metaphor for the american adminisitration that went outta control, so doesn't have a handlebar anymore. thats why people can easily be eliminated through a telescope, or other states be surpressed by missiles.
I can go to school with no brain no brain~
