Well I did some research-the Fighting Phils got blanked in game 1; in #2 Mike Goliat scored thier only run-so I got my Pop to look at the clip-he watched Mike Goliat play in those days-he confirmd as much as possibe that was him scoring.
@TechnerVideo The Athletics still owned the park. When the Phils took it over in '56 they painted the seats red, pink and gray and added all the billboards
Great video's!!! My name is Rich Rodowicz, my grandfather Frank Rodowicz played with the band for some time...I'm trying to find out if you knew him and if he's in any of your video's/this video, thanks!
The red, white and blue World Series bunting is hanging throughout the stadium so it must be the World Series. Plus the players lining up on the baselines before the game also indicates WS play. However, I see the Phillies scoring a run, and their only run in the 2 games played at Shibe came in game 2. I recognize Yankee catcher Yogi Berra as the run scores.
This is a treasure. Elliot Lawrence still has at least one CD in print and the footage of the Phils warming up is priceless. Many sincere thanks.

In 1967 there were advertising signs on the left field wall and on top of the left field stands and there was a huge scoreboard in RF.

is that the same stadium as Connie Mack that I visited w/my Pop in 1967? It looks very different

@momike99, yes, this is Connie Mack stadium. Connie Mack was still alive in 1950 so it was still known as Shibe Park.

@TechnerVideo It was renamed Connie Mack in 1953, when he was still alive (and still owned the Athletics)
