@CanadianSaudi1 in islam you slit the throats of the animals you are going to eat, you do not sever the spinal cord and so the animals can stay alive for up to 5 minutes or more with a slit throat.. halal meat is fucking disgusting, at least animals are killed nowadays with an electric rod and then a bolt to the brain. quick and simple.
Let's see if I can explain this in a way that your obviously simple mind can understand. Firstly, most of the people who took part in this protest are involved in all sorts of other activism. They do A LOT for animals. Secondly, it's about EXPOSURE. people who saw the protest are exposed to the reality of live export and then go and learn more about it for themselves. Lots of newspapers and websites covered the protest and in doing so brought attention to the cause and the cruelty. Make sense?
