Surprisingly that's not as loud as I'd assume a straight through system would be, just sounds really nice with plenty of added sound effects from the turbo! I suppose the turbo does plenty of silencing in the first place anyway. Really good job fella.

I may just use a 2.5 inch straight through system on my car, it's a fairly unknown british made hatchback but with a Volvo T5 motor in it, no where near complete yet though! I'm hoping the middle of 2011 at worst!

die T5-r und R motoren unterscheiden sich lediglich darin das der R etwas mehr ladedruck hat.

You need to add a Volvo t5 R engine and get a sport exhaust.. Your Corsa will sound like a volvo t5 r then. Only a Volvo t5 R sounds like a t5 R.

850 turbos and R models had the same engine, different tune thats all

You are wrong. Turbos have a 2.4 liter Low pressure configuration and the R model has a 2.3 liter High Pressure configuration..true the motors share many common components, but there are a lot of differences that insure the motors are NOT inter-changeable or as you say "the same".

my 94 850 turbo has the 2.3 hpt. they didnt make an R that year. in 95 when the first Rs came out they changed them.

the 2.4 liter was the non-turbo models. even the low pressure turbo models has the same block and displacement as R. all turbo models recieved a "T5" block, hense the "T5-R" name. from the factory the R's recieves 1 more pound of psi from the ecu. With a manual boost control that tune is easily bypassed making that equipped 850 turbos just as fast if not faster than the Rs. R's had better suspension and interior trim, drivetrains are almost identical. T5's had no less than 222 hp, R's had 240.
