  • COMA, BABY

  • best demo song in history

  • Haha.... memories!

  • brings back a lot of memories......i miss the sinus scroller ^^

  • Aahh the memories... This Demo was such a refreshing departure from the then all to common scrolltext blah boring "Megademos" of the time!

  • another classic. i still remember the awesome scroller + the totally bang on music. thanks for even more memories :P

  • Wow this was one of my favorits ,i watched it about 100 times !! Thanks for uploading this wonderful classic !! Makes good memories !!

  • the coolest demo at the time!!!!

  • I want that picture of the baby in the "KAOS" thing! It is awesome!

THIS is awesome!! So happy I started looking for old Amiga things on YouTube.

  • Demos like Thrust's Ottifanten and this are legendary and will be remembered. Who remembers most of the typical demos, with their elevator musics and filled vectors?

  • never liked it, not even as a kid. its just childish crp that has nothing to do with real demomaking.

  • toen ik jong was, en dze is nog steeds the bomb, erg goed!!

  • an early and brilliant representative of the fun demos. with exceptional musics...

  • Damn i remember the day when i get this brilliant demo. Awesome.. We sit there with open mouthes... Great Work..

I Miss the good olde Guru Meditation Times... Kickstart 1.2 ftw ;) hehe

Thumbs Up for Never Comming Back Brilliant Demos !!!

  • Loading... The Squeeze. I nearly laughed my ass off the first time.

  • pfff so long ago. weird to see that shit again

  • It was demos like this that inspired me to learn programming at the age of 12. So to Budbrain and all the other awesome demo groups out there, thank you!

  • The video and sound production were just amazing when this came out. Compared to the scratchy beep sounds coming out of a PC.

  • Total Awesome at the time :-)

  • KAOS KAOS ... KAOS

  • Great, this brings back old memories!

  • Actually the bit "What the hell" is from Terminator. If I remember correctly the part that Arnold appears naked outside the bar. A drunks says it. (I know, a little sick to remember this).

  • @RoboRob2006. Nah. It's the trash-van driver with regards to the electrical storm created by the teleporting Arnie.

  • YEAH!!!! Loved the chicks! Those where the days. Amiga 500 rules!

  • "what the hell"...

  • excellent, with the guru meditation !!!!

  • if you want the loader mod-modfile google for "perhaps2-dia mod".

...this brings back so many memories. i can't believe this was so long ago...

  • the funniest demo in my mind - but i didn´t have see much demos at all.

only low hundreds of thousands who give...

  • ey i remember this .. this was awesome :D

  • LONG LIVE THE COMMODORE AND AMiGA ...!!!

  • Classic! That loader music is so funky, I have to see if I can get the mod somewhere.

  • I´m a teenager again :)

  • God, I was 13 when that came out in 1990! Makes me feel old. Good memories from the Amiga days, many an evening in with my mates watching this, or playing Turrican.

  • forgot about the bloke having a sh1t and the toilet taking off like a rocket

  • *lol* so many years ago ... *****

  • 1990, PCs were either green, brown or 16 colors. 16 colors was a luxury, HA HA HA HA.

Damn I miss that machine, years ahead of Gates...

  • haha funny 2 see this again, damn, where did the time go =)

  • dear god this is 20 years ago. Way to go to make me feel my age!

  • I used this demo to show off to friends and family how outstanding the amiga was... ;D

  • This shit really impressed me when i really got the time to sit down and try out an Amiga for the 1st time in 1990.

Before that i'd only seen em in stores and screenshots in computergame magazines.

It was pretty mindblowing going from C128 to Amiga.

I decided to get my own at once!

  • A classic, great music and funny effects/animations. One of the most memorable demos. Oh, the good old times... :)

  • Birdie Nam Nam :-D Still have it sitting in my floppy box

  • This demo got me started into collecting them. Whatta classic! The "What the Hell" at 1:30 was ripped from The Terminator movie.

  • Classic! Saw this the first time 1991

  • EPIC!

  • By far one of, if not THE BEST demo on the Amiga. One of my favourites.

  • Damn, I wish I was a teenager again

  • God, I remember thinking this was awesome.

  • It IS awesome!

  • mg i h

  • ducks were the best :)

  • what song is on that first music video?

  • Still love the ducks

  • what the hell did I just watched???:D

  • all time classic

  • The Best..

  • BEST AMIGA 500 DEMO EVER : )

  • Don´t forget "State Of The Art"

  • The best of the best, just think what they would be like now days.

    Live the dream

  • @DEANUS234 this was never a good demo.

  • @thepts And what in your opinion was ?

  • @kjw7000

I could list a 100 good Amigademos that are significantly better than this.. but you could always google for yourself?

  • @thepts Remember that this was coded long before the likes of 9 fingers and jesus on e's. I remember getting this demo on 3.5" floppy from a b.b.s and it was hailed as the best at that time. Ahh. They were the days.

  • 1990 i got this what a great demo. i loved the amiga 500.

  • nie sądziłem że to kiedyś znajde!!! brat kazał mi wyłączać po opcji z kurczakami z jajek ! hahah !!

  • really fun

  • Wspaniałe!!!

  • unforgetable music!!! brilliant!

  • to były czasy :)

  • NICE MEMORIES!!!! :-)

  • epic

  • WOW! I had Noooo idea this stole so much from Dr. Baker's KaOs!!!

    SNAP!

  • and.. it was all coded in 68000 asm.. coders have it so easy these days.

  • it looks really basic now, but when this came out it was really cool.. and like most of those era demos people made them for the fun of it.

  • Now that YouTube supports HQ mode can you re-upload?

  • I has dis one tew! It's a small wurld and no mistake! Ah well, back to studein fur me englash digree...

  • I has this one

  • Due to the compression of the video information, this all seems much WORSE than on actual Amiga. This can be seen especially in Kaos, where the multicolored lines are blurred. Also, the sound is Joint Stereo which negatively affects the left/right channel separation in Beatbox Singing birds. Also, you may had keep the "loading" and "decompressing" parts in between the parts, just to retain complete feeling and rememberence.

  • I miss my Amiga 500 :(

  • great demo, good memories :)

  • Czy ktoś pamięta Głos Lamera?.Proszę o kontakt.

  • the guy digging the music with his feet in the ground :D i want giff

  • Hey, Join The Amiga Nostalagi Group I made on Facebook, Y S Jens Møller, Denmark

  • Birdie Nam Nam totally rules - I loved it back then & love it now!

  • This brings back too many memories for me to be real. Classic demo. How times have changed since then. Where are the 2008 demos that show off what computers can do now? in 2008 they should be mind blowing, or am I missing something that we could never, ever miss in the Amiga days?

  • The squeeze ftw !!!

Btw at 1:30 where he says "what the hell", that's a sample from the 1984 movie The Terminator (the guy in the garbage truck.)

  • amiga for ever!!!!!

  • Oh yes, I liked this one, very funny then (today)! The best song at the beginning... ;)

  • 1. the squeeze gave me one of the biggest laughs ever back then...

    2. chaos still rocks hell!!!

    3. facts about the movie: The words "What the hell?" after the guy wakes is taken from the terminator and the shriek sound when he sees the burglar is taken from Escape from New York

    4. Yo check this out HAHA

  • The "God-DAMN" sample is also taken from The Terminator, whena heavily-armed Arnie is walking past a guy in a corridor (shortly after the eye/scalpel scene I seem to recall)

  • Rsi

  • i like this !

  • Kenneth Bager - Kaos

  • BEST AMIGA DEMO!!! Of course on youtube ^^

  • Thx for this video.

Was one of my first big demos (MEGA DEMO they called it). Never will forget it.

And the coolest thing was when you load the first disc it emulated an Amiga GURU Meditation Error (kind of system/disc error) with blinking system leds...way great!

Long live the demo scene (although its nearly dead).

  • What a blast from the past.can`t belive someone has still got it.

  • HELLYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!

    Hear the drummer get wicked......

Love this amigashit, thank god i still have the disks and the A500 2 run it!!!!

COOL 2 SEE THIS, MORE MORE MORE MORE!!!!! :)

  • This is from Psycho and Diablo.

  • OMG I loved this demo. My Amiga died unfortunately, but good to see so many excellent demos uploaded on here. Happy memories from my college days *sighs* Bring back the Amiga!

  • Amiga Rules for EVER !!!

  • Amiga ruled the world before Micro$hite gave us the crappy platform we all use today.

  • Amiga rules!Fuck you bill gates!

fucking stealer of workbench!if Amiga had all that a pc has today it would run in with 1/3 memory in 1/3 capacity of hd and 30 programs or games in one time!

  • AmiOS then still beats the shit out of Vistas and XPs alike...Or how about true multitasking, desktop snapshots and whole OS taking 20k of mem when loaded!!

  • Megademo 1 still rox, it's so funny!

  • awesome!

  • Wow, i remember this from when i was YE' high! Amazing!

  • Great demo!!!

  • omg, memories.

  • Great work! Love the beatboxing ducks at 4:40.

    Ahhh good ol' times indeed....

Todays computers and games just can't give you the feelings and spirit of back then, despite of all graphics and sound power they have now.

  • Ooh memories, ooh good old times. Amiga still rules.

  • What a strange feeling it is just to "watch it" like this. Usually i must unpack the Amiga and install every cables etc, and then load Budbrain... i LOVE the "KAOS"-track.

    Thank you for this!

  • The duck eggs are epic

  • The Best Ever!!!

  • Superb stuff!
