For all you assholes that keep up with this "The Fall" bs, listen and learn. SM has said various times that the Fall were a huge influence on him and SS. All musicians are influenced by others, and Pavement has given full props to The Fall. No one can argue that Pavement , in itself, is about as original band that ever was. So there.
they played this song at the Enmore theatre in sydney last night .. totally rocked but I think I was in a crowd of ppl who only knew their later stuff.. bit dazed by it all! the screaming was mad
Excellent performance, the sound was impeccable. Wish they release an official live album and that it has this sound. The 2nd disc of Slanted & Enchanted reissue has a live version of this song, but not as great as this version.
No doubt it was on the broadcast. I saw this when it aired for the first time and recorded it on VHS. Still have the tape, but it is getting old and worn. A great band!

Pavement does The Fall better than The Fall. That's saying a lot, 'cause I love The Fall.

I was at this show. Canes in mission beach, on the boardwalk there, where the video starts. They were on fire.

The fact that he can remember all those obscure lyrics is amazing. Malkmus is the man.

They played this as their last song the other night at the Auckland Town Hall gig. Was truly immense!

Wasn't on the DVD; if they played it it was never released; sorry.

It was definitely in the broadcast - cuz I taped it just like many other people (but haven't seen it in a while). It's a shame, it was the best jam.
