I had no idea Sting's son was in this band, and I've liked their music for a while XD This song is awesome -- I think of it as "the ballad of the internet troll".
I think sting and his son are two things apart... you shouldn't keep comparing them.. sting was/is good, and now fiction plain is... I think it's important to the band that you seperate them
I just saw them last night opening for The Police. (His father's band yes I know.) Anyway Joe sounded much better last night than I am hearing on this video. He must have gotten in some practice or something. He sounded much like his father last night.
Ive been following these guys since their first album "everything will never be ok". They have worked damn hard and are true musicians!!!! It is in his contract that any press etc....will NOT mention his connection with his dad, at his request!! He is his own person and making his own music, why should that be disresepcted!? Im a huge fan of these guys and their new album is soooo good, ive been listening to it in my car all day!
Just saw these guys on Leno. Had never heard of them before and was only half paying attention when "Two Sisters" just got better and better and better. Then I started watching them instead of just listening, and I found myself completely enthralled by the lead singer. Nothing was familiar about him, but I loved his mannerisms, style and stage presence. It wasn't until my second trip to their MySpace page to listen to "Two Sisters" again that I saw his name.
Expected something better. More inovative, a characteristic sound that could set them apart, better lyrics, not just another garageband. As far as gearagebands go, they are OK. But to take off this needs a lot of work. It's not fair to compare them to the police, but they should take the time to rethink the music and their angle on it.
Holy crap! This guy can't sing! This is even worst than I thought. It's too bad such talentless crap gets even heard because of your pop. Absolutely atrocious and pathetic! Just say no to those greedy old bastards (the police) and nepotism!
I'm sorry sonny but you band suck. I've heard so many bands like this and your only getting the coverage because of daddy. FFS your dad had already written Roxanne by your age. This is tuneless crap
nepotism is alive in well in the music business. worst thing is to open for ur daddys band. the police were and now are gonna be the biggest band in the world.
I can't believe this song didn't take off. It's really fucking good. I'm sure they would do better in Europe, they appreciate Rock more...America needs trends in place of real talent. Isn't that Sting's son?
Yeah, it is his son. They look almost exactly alike. Uncanny.
And while I agree with your statement about America needing trends in place of talent, I have to offer up NME being a primary source of info in the UK and Europe eating up our trends months after the buzz fizzled here in the US.
Dont get me wrong...I know its true. But I think the same thing holds true globally.
Unique rock voice, awesome!!

I actually really like 'em - didn't at first but they've grown on me.
I like that Sting's son went a different direction, his dad owns his own kinda market - this is more straight up rock.
THall4 4 years ago
well if you compare him to early police, like syncronicity concert you see how they're alike not only in voice but also in movement and energy

I saw them on Sunday...boy were they better than in this video. They only had three members and the vocals were much better live.

I agree Siren, I saw them last night and he does sound alot like his dad. He also looks like him too when you get up close and get to talk to him.

Can you guys who think it's all about nepotism PLEASE base it on more than ASSUMPTION.
Yes, this is Sting's son, Joe Sumner. He didn't go up to labels saying, "Hey, I'm Sting's son."
In fact, the band went to the extent of changing Joe Sumner's last name to avoid it, but it attracted more attention.
It goes like so: Tour -> label troubles -> no breakthrough, years later = rough patch -> tour with Police = EXPOSURE.
Give them some credit. They earned their place by creating decent music.

Thank you! People have no clue! They are an extremely hard working and deserving band, and never once did anything but prove otherwise!

Now then,
Straight into favorites!
Had the pleasure of seeing them play in England last year, thought they had everything in them to make a great band.
Even went as far as giving my handle the same name, sad isn´t it!?
I still follow them about if possible, but they don´t play much in Europe unfortunately.
As I am a little bit older then the lads themselves, I am from the time that the Police the biggest band in the world!
