First of all, Nice mock up of Elektras Kata from Daredevil, Just because you speed it up doesn't change anything, Do you even have martial arts training?

Because sure what your doing, is flashy and or movie flashy, not practical, I would invest in actually learning how to hold them before making a video that has to do with the Sai

@poopdick95 Jeez dude she's just makin a video to show what she can do, no need to get all picky over it. Loads of peole perform the Elektra Kata on youtube. You have to admit though for no triaing she has pretty good form and very flowing movements. So what if she doesn't hold the sai properly? I don't unless I'm sparring and even then I work with it in a less the proper manner. It works for me, and if it works that's all that matters.

God performance. Nice control on the spins. But I may offer 1 piece of constructive criticism, please do not have your fingers in the hand guards when the "blade" is extended, that's where you catch other weapons and you don't want to crush or cut your own fingers off. Overall it was fun to watch!

I've been doing martial arts and such idly for a long time but this year i really got hardcore into the white dragon system with a friend of mine. So it's been about three months of constant training and i was told the weapon i would be proficcient in would choose me not the other way around.

i can see a lot of secondary weapons but for some reason i felt drawn to the sai today and looked up some videos to begin practice.

Now if you go take a Kobudo class you will get a bit of a head start they will teach you how to hold the sai the right way and to block I am about to go to my first Kobudo class this saturday I am excited they are going to teach me how to use my Sai the right way!

Nd you got it down! the Elektra scene! its awesome! You just skiped a few things and u need to learn how to do a No handed kart wheel with ur Sai that would be kewll

Grindstone. If you are talking just the tip, that's the easiest way. If you want bladed Sai, that's far more extensive, and just grinding down the Mono-Uchi of a regular sai would leave you with a rather bad quality dagger.

As for the Electra movie, I wish they would have toned down the 'magic powers' and done more serious Sai combat, showing Jennifer's skill. However, as a drama movie on Electra's feelings and heart, it was superb. How the girl and father brought her back to life from the cold inhuman assassin was 'magnifique'.

I am impressed. Self learning, or learning from videos can be very hard, but I see that you have put some serious work into it. While showing off is lots of fun, learning the practical applications can really put a spiff into your training. Mixing spins and techniques would be great. Just have a friend strike lightly with a stick so you can practice the blocks properly.

Coucou!! Quand j'ai commencé à manipuler des sais je ne pratiquais aucun art martial , je regardais en boucle Elektra et Dardevil!! Et après j'ai commencé à faire du karaté , mais si tu veux il existe un art martial appellé Kobudo où tu peux apprendre à manipuler des sais et d'autres armes, je ne crois pas qu'il soit nécessaire de pratiquer du karaté mais ça doit être un plus pour toi ! merci de ton commentaire :) A bientôt

merci !!Mais en fait , ce n'est pas si difficile, il faut juste s'entraîner régulièrement et tout le monde peut y arriver ! Sur la vidéo ça ne faisait que 6 mois que je m'entraînait, alors je ne pense pas que beaucoup d'années de pratique soient nécessaires , après ça dépend de chacuns ! :)

thanks for responding....sai is my personal favorite weapon, we actualy train with live blades for attack (keeps us on our toes, lol). You have a very good flow to put it into combat......what ever difficuly you had in the beginning, you are well on your way to over come anything.....keep going, best wishes to you.....
