WOW. Liam Neeson could have easily played this like a stone faced killer (which would have been easy to do), but he hits all the right notes in his performance. Not only does his frenzy to find his daughter come through, but his humanity does as well; you're really root for him. And, his character is one mean badass. This is a really exciting film to watch; well constructed, face paced and enough butt kicking to satisfy even the most extreme action addict. Definitely recommended.

Great movie, but I must say that certain things don't add up. How did a trained spy get with a woman who didn't support him? Why did a trained spy allow his daughter, a minor, to get into a dangerous situation in Paris? Why did the Albanian kidnappers leave the daughter's cell phone behind for the dad to find?

1) They had a falling out over the years, they don't ever mention how the relationship started or anything like that, so thats a pointless and fruitless complaint.

2) Have you seen the movie? He thought it would be a much different situation than it was, and even then, he didn't really want to let her go.

3) They shattered it... probably left it behind because they didn't care... besides, its not like they new their contact could be traced via a reflection in a photo on it.

Next of all they are typical criminals that don't expect much of others. Why would they take the cell phone, some phones have gps tracking systems. Best to just leave it behind.
