I dunno if it's just cause they're already exhausted, but jive seems to be far and away the weakest dance for every couple except the violet couple... the others in fact don't appear to be putting a whole lot into it at all. It's sad that jive gets so little attention.

Wow, this is one of those competitions where all the ladies look amazing in their costumes. None of them are over the top. Maria looks absolutely gorgeous in that simple dress and the same goes for all the other ladies as well.

Honestly I thought the music was great. The rumba music was so refreshing as compared to the usual ones at other comps. A live orchestra is a nice touch. I guess its a love it or hate it thing.

I finally found a website that sells ballroom comp. videos at a reasonable price. And i received the UK open this week, its absolutely amazing to watch on ur TV. the dancing is amazing, I have to say i personally don't like the music; but I completely respect the british for being such purest in having an orchestra.

yah, i agree with you...our country do not always qualify even in semi-finals because of politics and discrimintaion...so sad to say that i want to compete but if that's their way of judging i'll rather compete only in our country...

I never could understand why the Stokkebroes were dominating amateur latin competitions...i've tried to look in any possible way...I really tried...I don't think they can even match maurizio and melinda or matej and iwona or stefanno and ana...it's a mistery to me

they weren't dominating amateurs, they made it to 4th in the rankings which is good but they usually placed 3rd or 4th in most top competitions. Melinda and Maurizio almost always out placed them. They're pros now.

i have to admit this music is kind of crap! But you cant beat the music used at Blackpool!Theres no other competition like it in the world! N actually Stokkebroe's in Purple look pretty goof here but their always gonna be stiff. They do this because that is how some of the most professional judges used to dacen and how they think latin should be danced like! But Vescovo and Torogkyorgy are real latin dancers!!!

I just don't get it. As maurizio and melinda have worked there way up i feel they have got less interesting to watch. At 55 secs she spins and looks like shes gonna fall over.

Watch their routine elsewhere and you'll see that they missed a right-to-right connection at :56 where the rotate around - they gout out of it fairly well, although it takes them at least 7-8 sec, you'll notice the sudden drop of energy and them looking at each other more than usual until they figure out where to pick up.

since the company that produces blackpool vids have a copyright they deleted a lot of blackpool vids including amateurs, currently no one on youtube has amateur vids from blackpool maybe in the future
