@kevin112191983 What an ignorant thing to say about something you clearly have no clue about... 1) The Lead Captain is a 'brotha', as well as two other Crewmen for the 2010 Season. 2) We see more fire in 6 months than most City Dept's do in a career - and we don't breathe no canned-air. 3) Many of the Crewmen have their EMT license - and use it regularly. 4) A High School di[ploma can barely be called a 'requirement' anymore - many crewmen have their Bachelors and/or Masters Degree.

Do you know what Fire Region you are in, the FS has regional training centers you can apply to. But you will want to do all your fire classes over the off season so you can get on a crew in April or May.
