@Devilkryer I am not exactly sure but in most videos I have seen, they say that when Egypt was colonized, a group of muslims stood up against the leaders and demanded that Islam and significance to religion should be brought back but they were imprisoned and one of the members of the group sang his poem in the courtroom right before they hanged them. Again.. I am not sure but this is all I could find.

I am a turkish salafi and the proof about shaving your beard is hadeeth of Ibn Umar who said that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Be different from the mushrikeen: let your beards grow and trim your moustaches. According to another report: Trim your moustaches and let your beards grow.

The question is...What do the respected scholars say on this issue, not what the lay person tries to interpret from what may appear a simple issue! We cannot just throw around hadith.
