Rugby is better. In football everyone goes down at the smallest flick or tap (*cough* Ronaldo *cough*), just to get the player sent off/yellow carded (an example of bad sportsmanship). Most players hog the ball (Ronaldo again) whereas in rugby they all play fair and share the ball. Rugby requires strength, quick thinking, quick feet movement, speed, skill ect. but football just requires speed and skill. Rugby players are tough; if blood is gushing from their mouth, they will play on. RUGBY RULES

@QuinneyBoyz yeah rugby hits are hard (especially from lomu) but football hits are harder because the game is much more stretched and high speed while the play is happening, and not all of football is the play itself, it is the film study and play call

Unlike rugby theres blocking in football so you dont need the ball to get messed up. Those "breaks" a word you guys continue to regurgitate are not really breaks they are setting up plays, AF has never been said to be an endurance sport, its about being explosiveness, again you should know that.

the thing is, football isnt for girls. football is rough at times, and also, when you see these football players 'crying on the floor' its part of there little gameplan to try and get a player sent off most of the time....you see? why not look at the videos were football players get there legs broken, ankles, etc? and ive seen football players getting knocked unconious from getting booted in the head...example john terry. rugby is rough obviously, but football is what it is....and i love it.

Yes I know what they are doing every play....... just deciding wether or not to blitz or cover a man or zone does not make it planning......... and I have watched matches (They only lay for 11 minutes acctualy) where they are sweating buckets at HALF TIME! THAT IS 3 MINUTES PER OFFENSE AND DEFENSE!

Football's based purely on skill and fitness & is open to EVERY single physical build. Rugby - almost exclusively open to stocky/bigboned players.

Still, it's a good sport for fatties at school who can't get into footy teams.

also you seem to forget that,
1. rugby players are much more fit in terms of muscle as well.
2. Rugby players not only run, but tackle and ruck and scrum aswell and if you say that stuff is not hard......Get on a damn rugby pitch and see if you will have anywhere near the phisical capacity to tackle a 225 lb outside center or winger..
