I read somewhere that during the chase he was on the phone with the FBI asking them to call the Houston Police Dept. to call off the chase. They did and the cops refused to stop pursuit. About the video, no matter what hes grabing , gun or cell phone, no officer was in direct danger, two on passenger side in window, more than two in rear, and at least one to front, they could have waited to see what he reached for, my opion!

That's what Central Intelligence Agency is all about. If he took that once police down, he could have sped up and have enough time to make direct contact with the Director of National Intelligency who could've provided him instant backup and a warrant to tell police to back off in less than 20 seconds.

Come on! WHen have u ever seen cops deal w/ the end of a chase w/ helicopters following & multiple cop cars & they just walk up to the car & start breaking windows at the end? They already knew Carnaby said he was CIA, showed a weapons permit & his ID. He was stopped for 30 min! Cops stay back & tell the driver to get out of his car & lay on the ground after a chase. They dont rush the car! Never have I seen it done this way & I've seen 100s of car chases in L.A.. Wayne Madsen is right.

Why not wait for the supervisor BEFORE "ordering" him out of the vehicle??? Look at that gut...it has to be the most humilating thing in the world to be gunned down by a human with no self discipline. His gut should've been a reason for dismissal. It's pretty simple, Squirrely Carnaby had a CHL & was armed, after trying to talk his way out of a ticket by claiming to be CIA he figures he's going to get in more trouble, flees arrest & since the cops know he's armed they fear for their lives as he whips out his blackberry and shoot him to death. No big conspiracy. Just some nutcase & some traffic cops who had a very bad day at work because of Carnaby. The grand jury investigation probably didn't turn up anything of significance.

evidently you never heard the concept "making a little money on the side" there are cops who protect narcotics transactions for a "little money on the side". they don't take or sell drugs, they protect the transactions based on their notions that only "losers" use drugs, and these losers will use drugs anyways, so why not "make a little money on the side" (btw, I am a son of a deceased father who belonged to the Police Commissioners & Chiefs Association) murder by police is very common

I lived near the border, and know that cops make money on the side by doing business with drug lords, its a common thing, whether it be by informing them about stings, protecting their transports, or the previously mentioned assassinations. My point is how are you going to say that Dallas is better than Houston based on them having cops that preform better in pre-meditated murder.

The cop did over react but why in the hell did the guy drive off? When people run from the cops they are usually doing it for a reason. If the guy would have exited the vehicle like the cops asked in the beginning of the video this would not have happened but the suspect CHOSE to drive off and unfortunetly was shot for his piss poor decision.
