  • 240p We meet again.

  • vincant and sunny are his bitches XD

  • @EPIClca hahahahahaha

  • God Made YouTube

  • I used to lock this on my cousin while he was asleep

  • @alepiresjr same here

  • THANK YOU

  • why do a white belt is demonstrating a leg lock? leg locks are supposed to be taught to brown belts and above in GI BJJ..

  • @coutinhotim At least it's showing that even a white belt can do it. It's good to have that other-arm adjustment to help things along, too.

  • @JAWdog777 I know that anyone who learns the technique is able to do it, but the point is that they can't do it in tournaments before the brown belt, I wasn't criticizing, I was just pointing that out.. =D

  • expert advice: DO NOT SMELL enemy's under arms.. maybe it can kill you.

  • your opponent is extremely stupid. I can only see a one armed heelhook working on an 11 year old girl. so this submission on video is not a heelhook. It is an ankle lock. two very different things. so if the argument is about who is the moron, it's you.

  • that teacher really sucks...you can hear him trying to catch his breath after just applying the lock on the other guy, i bet i could take him in a grapple match

  • its actually called a calf cutter

  • Okay.. This is called a heel hook.. and what the fuck..? weakest single leg ever. Nobodys just gonna fall like that. This guy is terrible..

  • @DuRNiNJA lmao this is 100% not a heel hook! you moron

on a heel hook you lie down and grab under the heel and then twist it inwards causing a lot of pressure on the heel and shin...

  • @rosslegend You kidding me, so your tellin me you have to be laying down for a heel hook, thats like saying you havee to be laying down for an armbar or a triangle, or rear naked, anything could happen standing up. this is a heel hook. forearm under the heel, shoelaces behind the armpit, and and extending the front of the foot, this guy just does it differently, using two arms, when you can do it with one. You. are the moron.

  • @DuRNiNJA you don't have to be laying down for a heelhook (although 99% of time u will be), but that does not make this a heel hook. this is not a heelhook this is an ankle lock. heelhooks put torque to the ACL in the knee and are preformed by twisting the heal with the blade of your forearm while locking his leg in place with your own. This submission targets and isolates the ankle and only the ankle. also, you cannot do a heelhook with one arm. you can't finish a heelhook with one arm unless

  • If you're having trouble with the subtitles, press the cc button to turn of the closed captions.

  • @Kruderinn thanks bro

  • how do you get the dang words to get off the screen

  • @jonesjavontae press red cc button

  • It's just a guillotine or RNC... But other end of the body.

'Ahh! I've got ya foot. Now I'm gunna choke the shit out of it!!!'

  • @DuRNiNJA

Erm, whateve. That's how I do them and how I see them done so, in my books, false.

  • You forgot to say thanks for watching!

  • pause the video at 2:09 looks like a nickleback CD cover

  • @soontobe1243 it does too

  • @soontobe1243

    LOL

  • @soontobe1243 hahahah good one XDD

  • @soontobe1243 hahahahaha so true about the pose at the end

  • @soontobe1243 no it looks like the sims 10

  • @soontobe1243

i'm more worried that you even know what a nickleback CD cover looks like. nickleback is the worst ever......... They make me ashamed to be an American.

  • @thedarknight83 Well if that was the only reason you were ashamed of being American ,fret no more;they're Canadian. That means Canada has to answer for them AND Celine Dion.

  • I am moving away from the striking arts, and researching where grappling arts can take me, I realized after three nights of practice and training with Youtube, that there is absolutely no limit to who sees this. I just hope our local street thugs don't have internet or schoolyard brawls might be getting a lot more interesting.

  • ok stop saying what effective and whats not effective there like 3 way to counter every move and probably 10 way to counter if you are fighting dirty not including weapons it just depends on who gets what off first bottom line every move is effective some way and even the best moves can be counter in some way so stop trying to limit yourself if you want to be a good mix martial artist you need to learn everything

  • Trust me if you got put into a serious achilles lock you wouldnt be able to summon the strength to use that free leg of yours. youd be ballin your eyes out if not begging for the person not to break your ankle. Thats whats so effective about it.

  • @EricPaulsonFan I would use this just to immobilize my opponet then punch him out while he's hurt and If he doesn't tap the other guy could break his ankle! :)

  • fuck off subtitles!

  • Would anyone use this in the street? What happens if you keep torquing even after he taps?

  • I only know a little BJJ and I even know this is used a lot!!!! Just not from a standing position!!! Come on people this is a very useful lock...people are always giving up their legs during a fight, and you can take this to your advantage!

  • Great post.

  • this submission is used when your opponents on his stomach and your on his back there just showing you from this stand up position in mma you would probably get kicked in from that position

  • oh wow does any1 in this comment thing know anything bout MMA or do you all sit and watch UFC with a pad a pencil and your fingers on the rewind button? THIS MOVE IS USED A LOT its just ppl will fall down on their back and do it

  • @Riethmaier39 name one fighter who executed this submission

  • I do i use it when i fight, knee bar and add that in its done

  • @Riethmaier39 Lol add a heel hook and you'll have a complete basic leg lock arsenal =D

  • andrei arlovski aginst tim silva

  • these people dont see it as the same move this move is used more often as a way to change position rather then for actuall submission.

oh and for those of you who think you could kick with the free foot good luck becouse you are suppose to be standing on their other ankle as this is being applied

  • haha thats wat i do wen i watch ufc but i also go to the dojo and train ALOT

  • BJJ or GJJ never invented tihis achilles lock, learn same Sambo you fool!

  • Catch Wrestling IMO.

  • In MMA, you just adapt this move by pinning the opponents free foot to the floor with one of your feet. Simple as that.

  • if ur trying to do the achilles lock cant the other guy just kick u with the other free leg?

  • naw not really man if he kicks him st8 in tha nose with the heal of his foot lol he will just let go but u gotta do it fast or hes snaping ya ankle

  • if he kicks you put more pressure.... he will stop kicking ;)

  • or you could kick him in the knee. that's what we do at GJJ center. its fast and hurts like hell.

  • haha thats true wat i would do is push the knee wich will break it and then do this lock

  • if this wuz mma he would get kicked in the face from the ground

  • o no doubt possible knockout, any asshole can throw a fucking powerfull upkick, do not go for the ankle lock like this ever you will get knocked da fuck out. stay smart bud

  • wat if you get a kik to the head with the other leg that he has not got

  • this is bjj techniques not mma, you cant strike in bjj. most people cant pull of any kind of leg locks in mma cuz it leaves the fists of the oppenet open and free to hit you.

  • essa posição é mais antiga que a posição de caga.

  • buddy this an ENGLISH website. Cant nobody understand u

  • youtube is international.

  • @langerCAN no shit

  • DICKHEAD

  • dumbass its internation

  • lay down sonny! rofl

  • they shud show the escapes too

  • escape is u kick him in the balls when he goes for it lol

  • rofl i wudnt do that to my training partner =p but in street i will =p

  • what if you spin to get out of it

  • damn everybody is so tough on youtube, hahahahaha

hmm wonder what would happen if u would meet in the streets

  • that submission is pretty good for bjj only cuz ur wearing a a uniform but its hard to do it in ufc or mma cuz u aint got no shirt on and ur sweating

  • that if you can pull of the submission the first minute or second minute in MMA or submission wrestling, in wich you havent start to sweat.

  • dumbass

  • ur an idiot this guy is a black belt so i think he knows what he is talking about

  • you fucking moron, i have tryed this, its 95% chance to break out of this shit. And work. I bet you cant make 1 guy that have trained mma or bjj tap with this sub moron.

  • ... Well, you're probably the moron here. Since you're the one not getting this on to work.

This technique works perfectly fine, I've used it dozens of times and got people to tap.

What I usually do is to do this laying down, but it's practically the same technique.

  • Sure mr idiot, i can make this work, i can also escape it very very easy, if ur sparringpartners cant escape it, you better find some better place to train.

  • Or maby you should pratice harder. Because it works!

And, for your information, I'm a member of the national team of sweden so my trainingpartners is some of the topfighers in the world ;)

... As i said, it works. Your're just not good enough at it!

But hey, who am I to judge?

  • what so i am not good enough when i can break of this hold in 2 sec? Yes who are you to judge. Also no1 in sweden is top fighter

  • Who said anything about doing it in 2 seconds? You need a good set-up and it doesen't work if he is prepaird for it, and it doesen't work at all times. JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE!

And yes, we do have topfighters in sweden. And in JJIF we're the 3rd best nation in the world!

  • please give me a break, 3rd best nation, give me 1 name of a good fighter from sweden, please

  • I'm sure you would kick Dolph Lundgren's ass.... yepp.

  • Hahaha the actor? Who have he fought, also he aint in my weight class, i am sure you would beat mirko filipovic, hell yeah

  • Linda Lindtröm, there's a name for you! Won the world chamonship in JJIF aswell as in BJJ in mundial!

  • sight, a girl? Just becouse you can bjj dosent mean ur a good fighter. Also i would not call a guy who just pratice bjj a fighter

  • well, you're a ground fighter w/ jiu jitsu, but you'd also need some sort of stand up game to complement it, like in mma.

  • Judo =]

  • When applied slowly, this feels like a very nice stretch.

  • if you get this on someone quick enough i dont think they will have the chance to think about kicking after their ankle has been destroyed ;-)

  • can u do this on someone who is fatter or taller than you

  • Yes. It's all about technique. You take anyone's foot/ankle and wrench it like this, they'll tap, or you'll break their shit off.

  • yes the same with every submission your manipulating the week joints of the human anatomy

  • Deadly ass move

  • good move did this in bjj class 2 weeks ago didnt realise how much it hurts.

  • I always try to be real careful when doing any toe / ankle locks in our gym. Wouldn't want to hurt someone who didn't really deserve it.

  • this is great until you get kicked in the dome!!!!

  • omfg lol if u even think about kicking i could snap ur ankle without thinking lmfao

  • you conceded retard you'd probably get you're ass kicked by a 4 year old

  • shows SOME discipline to show recklessness like you do.... good job for giving the rest of us a bad name

  • its like a guilatine on the leg

  • lol i guess you could see it that way yeah. only you're not restricting blood flow you're breaking bones ;]

  • Royce Gracie fought strategically he knew most strikers didn't know what to do when their distance is taken away from them... now you have the ground n pound understanding, and people know how to strike in a grappling situation, watch MMA.

... to anyone reading this debate I suggest u check out the aforementioned stuff if you want to learn how to defend yourself. Understanding pre-contact rituals and 'the fence/s.p.e.a.r.' is essential stuff. BJJ is a great sport art though.

  • and then hi meet Yoshida.. got choked!

  • I really find it interesting how many people say that these BJJ moves are not practical in a street fight.

If you read the history of this MA you will realize pretty quickly that they abandoned anything impractical and it evolved in the poor and violent shanty towns in Brazil.

I'm not arguing, I'm just reiterating the opinions and experiences of the people who created the art.

    Food for thought!

  • what people mean is that it is a one on one dueling/match fight system.... it doesn't deal with striking, pre-contact fight rituals, multiple opponents, weapons, etc... still a great art though... just not the strategy u want to use for 2 on 1 situation on concrete with glass around, and they might have concealed weapons. Check out Tony Blauer, geoff thompson, and Senshido. Still a great art... one I hope to learn god willing.

  • This art does indeed deal with striking....how to neutralize it and avoid taking real damage.

Gracie has good advice for someone dealing with multiple attackers or a weapon.

Turn and run. He says we always hear about people who can deal with multiple attackers....but we never see them.

I think any artist saying that they have the answer to multiple attackers or that they don't need to grapple is just fooling themselves and their students.

Read one of the Gracie books and decide.

  • Check out Senshido, Tony blauer and Geoff Thompson/british combat association they have dealt with multiple attackers in real life. I have had a close friend who has on 2 occassions, and have known a security college doormen (who trains Geoffs stuff) he took on 3. I've also personally know others. It's not impossible but requires good skill and intent. People can defend against weapons and multiples but you have to look at RBSD concepts and not sport arts.

  • To be honest it's been proven in MMA that someone who does purely BJJ won't come out on top or 'neutralize' good strikers. In the early days the BJJ guys cleaned up, now in MMA your have to be an all rounder. Like matt hughes and the gracie killer.

  • How many all rounders are there? There always used to be the debate.... wrestler vs boxer...or grappler vs striker....who will usually win? I think the UFC proved that pretty conclusively.

Betting against a BJJ guy who is fighting more of a striker is a bad move.

BJJ is a "sport" art? Says you! Remember, the earliest UFC you were not allowed to eye gouge or bite. That was it! One on one...I'll keep my BJJ.

  • you have to fall down to make it work

  • im willin to bet it hurts bothe wayz

  • i bet i could get you in at least 10 different bjj moves while still standing, and another 20 that would involve taking you down in the process. you name the wage

  • There are 3 different expert village Brazilian Jiu Jitsu "experts". To be honest only one of them makes good videos that display good techniques, and this guy is not one of them.

  • iv gotta agree with all these people negative

i mean this is a technique to learn but there are just too many ways to get out for this move to be a practical move in a fight

  • yeah but if you're in guard you can just wrap your legs around his isolated leg and its much harder to get out of unless of course they pull out

  • bonne technique efficace et assez facile a placer

  • i dun like this much because this is quite easy to escape and hard to get in position (i can use the other leg to bring him down or kick him or simple move my foot when he tries to grab)i like all those knee bars because u dun need to grab the foot or the point of the foot u just control the shin bone and twist his foot

  • this won't be any good if the guys were wearing shoes, so you should consider using this only in a jujitsu match. in a real fight this won't be anygood unless he's wearing sandals

  • Great Technique, Thanks for posting.

  • this is one of my favorite moves but standing is kinda lame, easy to escape etc, i do this lying in teh mat crossing legs then move to the side and stretch

  • what if ur oponent is to fat and u cant carry him becuz to attempt this move den u gotta be able to lift them

  • this could work if someone decides to go for a body shot with a kick, grab the kick and take them down while you remain standing and you know the rest.

  • Apply this move fast and corectly, and go to one knee down, is one of the most painfull locks full stop.(not that the others arnt) but this one can really fuck you up.

  • couldn't you just kick him off?

  • Have one of your friends watch this video and get you in this hold. You will realize that one they have the hold you wont be able to kick him off or get out of it.

  • No ofcoarse not, if you have felt this you would know the sheer pain that shoots up your leg everytime this gets put on correctly

  • Why do i get -2 for asking a question??

  • not if its tight

  • yeah well im a noob when it comes to jiu jitsu so im still learning.

  • in a mma fight, yes... in a bjj match:NO

  • ur a sick ass cunt. i doubt u have a wife! thats why ur posting stupid messages on great pages. fuckin ass hole.

  • My favorite lock, I must have won over 25% of all my bouts this way. It also works on the ground: When inside the guard, elbows on the main arteries of the leg-push down, sweep one arm through the space behind you and in between their legs (making space by rotating your upper body-once the guard has been opened and you're still between their legs secure the turn your legs away from their torso (so they don't attempt the same hold on you) and apply the lock. Fast and effective.

  • Can you find a video of this technique? It sounds great but I can't quite picture how to do it from the description you gave. Sorry I'm a beginner.

  • this in an extremely difficult move to do, watching the video I can can almost guarantee you won't help you learn to make it work. It takes practice and the help of an instructor to make this move work.

  • what if he kicks you in the face

  • if u do it right he wont be able to and even if he does ull break his ankle in 1 second therefore making u the winner

  • cant kick in bjj

  • Even if he tried it is very difficult to generate power into a kick while ur on ur back and getting partly lifted up by your ankle. Also its pretty easy to keep your head out of range of their feet.

  • Yeah, his other foot is completely loose.

  • ankle lock.
