  • Whenever I'm having a bad day, I just remind myself that at least I'm not a tooth with a toothache within a tooth with a toothache within (presumably) a tooth with a toothache... ad infinitum

  • Despite being toned down for the show, having Alice on was still a pretty daring move for it's time. Makes me wonder if they were saving up a repertoire of creepy/surreal sketches for just such an occasion. Even the Muppet labs sketch in this episode is like something by Lovecraft!

  • 1:53 Here's Alice Cooper, TEE-HEE!

  • "Ya gotta admit the opening is catchy."

    "So is Small Pox"

    HAHAHA

  • "That comes out of your pay Beaker....meemeemee."

  • This opening number actually scared me as a young kid, lol.

  • 8:30 Quite possibly my favorite Muppet sketch, ever. Definately up there. So weird and surreal!

  • When television was worth watching...

  • That one muppet reminds me of Pyramid Head...

  • ...Alice Cooper, and the Muppet show. Guess who's going to introduce her younger siblings to awesomeness? ...me.

  • which one is the muppet?

  • I love this episode. Hadn't seen it in years. Thanks for this. :)

  • Whoa, without his makeup, Cooper looks perfectly normal! Who'd a thunk it?

  • this is how vamps should be scary and creepy

  • S; Alice Cooper? 15 seconds to curtain Mr. Cooper

AC; Ready when ever you say Scooter.

    *monsters laugh*

S; sir, i think there's something you should know.

    AC; Yes?

    S; These monsters arent ours.

AC; i know, there mine. :)

    *scooter runs away*

u know u have a professional when he brings his OWN monsters :D

  • @futuremadonna6 i wish i had my own set of monster sto travel around with

  • Is it just me or does one of those monsters look like an early prototype for Pyramid Head?

  • The very best episode of the Muppet Show EVER! The interaction Alice/Gonzo is hilarious! 5 stars for this upload.

  • The very best episode of the Muppet Show EVER! The interaction Alice/Gonzo is hilarious!

  • I LOVE how Gonzo is all about the art. He wants to take it to the next level.

  • If I were Scooter, I would've run too.

  • A VAMPIRE THAT DOESN'T SPARKLE, YAYYAYAAA!

  • @FallingandRunning ROFL its cuz Alice Cooper knows how 2 do it

  • @bookfiend2009

His inspiration is from the way back Bela Lugosi - Dracula, the show is from before Francis Ford Coppola made his version of Dracula.....

  • The tooth sketch was the weirdest of the muppet sketches! It is more like a nightmare, or a bad trip!

  • This episode is also Steve Whitmier's first episode on the muppet show and also his First to work with the muppets.

  • To bad I only know Alice Cooper as singer of the song "Poison" and inspiration to the KISS masks

  • Uh, Quick question Why did Alice Cooper appear on a family friendly show when his shows weren't family friendly?

  • @NY4Life You're making the assumption this was supposed to be a family show. It came from Henson trying to not be pigeonholed as a kids entertainer.

  • @qazzian Yep.

Sesame Street for kids. Muppet Show for families, but some episodes (like this one) are 'make sure the kids are in bed'.

  • This is the only time when Kermit gets the creeps when announcing the special guest in the beginning.

  • eek! wait a minute now. you forgot about the time when Vincent Price guest starred in season 1.

  • It's the Muppet Show, with our very special guest star, Alice Cooper! Yaaaaa--- gulp!

  • hee hee, the way his face changed from excitement to fear was priceless. and I just noticed Scooter's scream and his running away from Alice and his monsters. I always thought that sound came from that brood laughing.

  • @TalkinXbox Well, he is kind of frightening.

  • I'll sell my soul for a pen! Wait, I've got other plans for that.

  • I automatically love anyone who A. makes the Muppets think HE'S creepy and B. produces a Pact Certain on demand.

  • Alice is great. I love his music. With him on the Muppet show...probably the closest the Muppets will get to heavy metal. This was 1978? Sometime between when he released Lace and Whiskey and From The Inside.
