Love the video! They look just like ours-apart from the 'mask doesn't show up so well on her! And as for some of the rubbish comments I just read she has a beautiful temperament with our 3 children and 3 cats. We've had her 2 years with no worries at all! True not exactly a 'guard dog' but does 'huff' if she hears someone!

It's very hard to get the Saaloos or Czechoslovakian breeds in the US.

It's because of the puppy-mill style wolf-dogs that we have so many issues with legality. In fact, I bet that a Saarloos or Czechoslovakian wolfdog would be considered a wolf hybrid in many parts of the US.

Look up Czechoslovakian Vlcak, its a great way of having a wolfdog without calling it a Hybrid, because it is a breed rather than a 'Hybrid'

I heard that wolf-dogs were originally bred to combine the friendliness of a dog with the power and endurance of a wolf, am i right? I also heard that most of the resulting hybrids were more like wolves than dogs.

yes, thay are fitter and stronger than any similar sized breed, They are not aggressive unless provoked like any animal! Maybe even less so... They are VERY wolf like in appearance, these 2 are several generations from wild carpathian wolves

Those dogs are so amazing. I love their look so much. I want one badly but sadly there aren't too many of them and I'd not like to import one. I've read alot about them and I really like what I see! I just hope that the swedish breeders dog will have its "period" as it was said. Its said that they only have "period" once in a year, is that true?

dogs cannot breed with foxes as they are different species. Dogs can only succesfully breed with wolves, coyotes, african hunting dogs, Jackals and Dingos. Other canine species like the fox or Manned Wolf are too distantly related to breed with the domestic dog.

Yeah, all the wolf attacks make big news because wolves are already the bad guys and there are only a handful of wolf attacks. If a dog however attacks someone it's just old news. I know 18 people myself (and I'm antisocial) who have been attacked by dogs and none who have been attacked by wolf-dogs orwolves. More people are hurt from getting hit by cars then by wolf-dogs.

you can let Tamaskan Dogs near children I heard, but as for wolf-dogs you should be careful.

you should be careful leaving any dog with a child. More careful when its any large breed i guess and yes technically wolf-dogs are bigger than Tamaskans as a general rule, but then again Great Danes are bigger than wolfdogs

If they are sarloos wolfhounds, they are a pure breed of dog that has not had any wolf bloodlines added since the original breeding of the wolf and GSD that started the experiment many many years ago. Like the Czech wolfdog.

Better buy a Czech WolfHound, because the Saarloos wolfhound, doesnt mean much. They aren't good gardens, and will probably run away cuz they are affraid of every little thing. SO adopt a Czech WolfHound, they are very very good dogs.

Those are either czech wolfdogs, sarloos wolfdogs, or tamaskan dogs, not wolves at all. Those are registered dog breeds. You can tell they are not wolves by many many features in both.
