Im on a 2002. If ai stand up on tje back pegs do I have to pop the clutch or anything or do I just like... Let go of the.clutch in second nd give'r shit?
@Barrett50Calzz 2nd gear, pull clutch rev to about 8-9k pop clutch shes up every time. i do stand ups only on my SV i feel like i have more control over the bike then sitting down. no need to bounce either just lean back she will pop right up. i cant get it up in 3rd =[ maybe after a rejet a needle re shim and a snorkleectomey i could
well if it's a 1st gen sv650 you'll have to do it in 2nd gear and on the back pegs at about 45 mph. if it's a second gen, stand on the back pegs in third gear at 50 mph. or if you just want to sit down and shift, slap it in 2nd gear and pop the clutch, then ride it out and shift in third...i've shifted all the way to fourth a few times and put her down at 90 mph...it gave me an erection!
Nice skills mate, straight off the power yeah? I used to have a VTR 1000 which being a v-twin had a lot of torque so it pulled wheelies easy off the power. Now i'm riding a zx6r which can actually do power wheelies in 1st gear but i prefer to clutch it.
yep, all power..it was stock with just a slip on...i used to own a vtr 1000...2003 blue..i loved it...but wrecked it and have a nice metal plate reminder!...
@dirtysv listen i am 18 yearsa old and im quite small im only 167 cm and only wiegh 60 kilos and yes i have wheelied my bike sv 650s 2000 model in 3 gear it isnt hard at all :S i will upload a video soon
badass vid .. nuttin sounds like and sv.. 3rd gear stand ups on my sv are the shit ! it can do them all day long . i even got a 4th gear wheelie going one time . but i used a small incline . the wind was just rite . and i used my 240lb to my advantage lol
Nice wheelie man. I had a buddy with an SV that used to do tank spreaders on. Anyone who says you can't wheelie an SV can't wheelie. They are torque monsters.
nice, but beware sv's arent made to do long standing wheelies. my buddy starved his front cylinder of oil and cooked the fuckin thing after a mile or so. it was before i got mine, so i could learn from his mistake. dont get me wrong i love my sv. got it in 01, and has been on the track since 03. its one strong fuckin mini-twin!
thanks for the info..i only stunted on it for the videos throughout a year...now it's just my everyday commuter...i bought it bran new in 06 and it has 40k miles...still kickin' strong!
I have the K6 SV650s (the anoying full fairing) . I can wheelie nicely in 1st (who cant?!) but pulling the front up in 2nd seems to be imposible for me? any tips? Speed? revs? body position? Any help would be great. Thanks
i have the full faired one too...and it's pretty simple, just keep practicimg. 2nd gear is real easy...juat put your feet on the back pegs and do about 35 mph, open and close the throttle...in 3rd, do about 55mph and close and open the throttle!
get a pipe, k&N air filter, and rejet it, or power commander if its fuel injected. The extra power helps a lot.
just run it up to about 30-35 mph in second (going uphill if possible) hold in the clutch rev the hell out of it and release the clutch pretty fast but dont just let it flick out. Going over a rise is the easiest place to do it. where the road is levelling out at the top of a hill for example. of course sit far back and lean back at the same time. but you dont need to jerk on the bars
you actually pulled up the front end in 3 rd gear? damn you must have really yanked her or done alot of mods i can only hold mine into 3rd not pull it up in 3rd
hey man, I got a k5 SV-s as my first bike and am about to start wheelie'ing. Do you have any advice about how I should start learning? Thanks

I got a 1st gen sv650. Do i have to use the clutch to shift into 3rd or do i have to shift without it and roll off the throttle?
