my snake always gets wet and cold but never goes to the warm side. dose my snake have a problem? its only 1 week old. i got it from a friend. he never goes to the hot side of my tank. am i the 1 with the problem? :(

@TnGxAsSaSiN These are Natrix maura. The enclosure I use these days is 75x60x35 cm. Yes, they do need a big water bowl.

i have a baby  who wont eat any tips? i also found mine frozen and he "came back to life" could that cause problems?

@sawmane1 Leave the snake alone, wait a while and make sure you are feeding it the right kind of food. Start off with live.

whta cind of fish do you feed the garter snake

Normally I feed my snakes a local species of vendace (that is known to not contain thiaminase) or rainbow trout.

The fish in this video, are neon tetras.

Avoid goldfish, they aren't healthy for snakes. The same goes for minnows.

The only reason I used neon tetras, was because they were the cheapest fish available. I just needed them in the beginning, before these snakes accepted prekilled fish.

The one that takes the mouse is a wandering garter snake and the one that's fishing is a viperine snake.
