rottweilers dont compare, these aint your usuall mastiff's, extremely strong and protective, and for a big dog they can move faster than other breeds the same size

@ twinterror06. Having owned both will tell you that the personality traits were very similar to each other. In fact, if you research both dogs personality characteristics you will find written documentation stating so. Anyway are your statements documented or are you stating an opinion disguised as a fact?

Are these dogs strong? More importently are they protective and wary of their surroundings, and how do they compare to rottweilers as a guard dogs.

my dogue is turns 2 next week and yes super strong. His neck is 26 inches and not muscles everywhere. I have 2 videos on utube of my dogue and bullmatiff

one more thing....i dare anyone to come in my yard .....extremely protective of the house and family...yet gentle with kids....if u are a bad guy he will do serious damage

my dogue bites on my bullmastiff when he barks at me for no reason. In the street I have no reason to believe he wouldnt protect his master being attacted.

@stocktrader71 I have one too..I got to see mine in "action" one night when he heard a weird noise downstairs (made most likely my cat) and he got into that guard mode..he headbutted the bedroom doors looking in the closets, going up and down the stairs and sniffing around like crazy.It was amazing&scary at the same to watch him..almost made my blood freeze in my veins looking at his body posture.We didnt get him to be a guard dog..that's why we keep guns in the house.I just wanted a "Hooch"
