lachhaft. 99% aller segway-stürtze sind menschliches eigenveschulden! es gibt nuneinmal physikalisch-technische grenzen von denen kein fahrzeug der welt befreit ist! ich selber habe bereits mehrere hundert Km mit segway´s hinter mir und noch keinen sturtz gehabt! ;) egal ob gelände mit dem x2 oder in der City mit dem i2. es ist meiner meinung nach sogar weniger "gefährlich" als inliner oder skateboards! in jedem video kann man gut sehen das der grund für den crash nichts als leichtsinn war...

You miss the point to all this.

The segway was initially marketed as "sidewalk friendly", which it is not.

It was presented as some sort of happy nerf car that poses no threat to pedestrians or segway riders. Like its inherent stability would let it bounce off people with no harm.

However, as soon as the segway reaches the limit of its design capability it becomes unstable and dumps the rider.

Nobody wants to get pancaked by a giant tumbling segway lardass.

The thing I hate about crash tests like this is that the dummies don't react. If I was about to hit a car (and for some reason couldn't steer away from it) I'd put my hands up and I guarantee that any other intelligent person would too. The same thing can happen while running at full sprint.

you probably didnt understand what he was saying. the tester said that the situation was the segway driving on the sidewalk with 15 km/h and the car coming out of some garage or st like this. you couldnt jump off then i think.

I've been using my segway's now about 4 years every day and no accidents, il had more accidents with my bikecykle im a bikemessenger for the last 15 years :), nowdays il use a segway. then there are idiots who can't use segway in a proper way!

I still think more ppl die by car's and bike's ect every year.
