@ MC5Rule: yes! I remember this like yesterday.. I was there for acts like the Specials, the Jam and Joe Jackson.. They performed ok, but the real highlight that day was the incredible show the J. geils Band gave... Due to bad editing by the tv-peeps you don't get to see the complete fanfare-orchestra coming on stage just after the intro.. There was footage also of Wolf doing a bonafide pre-U2 Bono-act :-P, when he climbs through the presspit to dive into the audience @ 'Houseparty'..? :-)

Audience wasn't asleep, but then the JGB wasn't yet really well known, this was their first time in the Netherlands.. Also, it's the beginning of the show, I think everybody was flabbergasted, they did blew the roof off so to speak, in the course of their show and the audience went crazy.. :-)
