All the talk about Versailles, I probably never (or at least not for a while) would have heard of Matenrou Opera if it weren't for finding out about them in the Cross Gate omnibus, which I found through Versailles XD I love them both now, don't ask me to pic my favorite though lol

saw and heard them for the first time at AUSA and haven't been able to stop listening since! :) I was SO happy I went to the concert! I think the drummer is BRILLIANT and so's the rest of the band ::D

OK so if you listen as intended on the Ruriirode-Egaku-Niji - EP as a kind of segue into Honey Drop and then (as sort of an outro in the last part) is Boukayku Celluloid, If you listen to all three in that order it's really like one long very epic song. Buy the CD at iTunes and see what I mean (if u haven't yet) It's totally worth it!!!! only $2.97!!! TRUST ME! no I'm not a sellsmen I just really like the "3 song is really one long SUPER song"- thing thats happenin' here TRY it out! XD

@VampireDustyPrincess it's a great movie and it's by film director Clint Eastwood, it's all in Japanese. It's about the Japanese soldiers who defended their homeland against invading American forces during WWII. It was predicted to be a swift defeat but the Japanese forces drew it out to nearly 40 days. and some of the summury of it says Their sacrifiices, struggles, courage and compassion live on in the taut, gripping film. it's really good. if you like Japanese history

I wanna go soooo bad too! but I can understand that it is an island and that they're already a bit overcrowded at least in the big cities like Tokyo and Okinawa and such and I def would want them to tear down their wonderful scenery for more pavement. so id love a small apt over their or live in like wash state/oregon/cal and fly there alot. even the history i love. i even love letters frow iwo jima, great movie and very informative. it touches my heart.

@VampireDustyPrincess me too! i want to go to Japan (Nipon) so bad! I want to learn the language and ya I've tried to learn the language little by little with refrence guides but ya with out a teacher (sensei) it's alot harder. i constantly play jrock to keep familiar with the language and i watch anime in english and Japanese to hopfully catch on. ya i wanna go so bad, for school and for vacation. I'm 22 and getting back into school and wanna work my way up, I hope it's not too late for me :/

@VampireDustyPrincess It's expensive and there are a ton of people but you should pursue after that dream and go. The Japanese government wants to have 300,000 exchange students come to Japan over the next 7 or 8 years. There are foreign language schools. Pen pals, clubs, and other ways to make contacts. Then there are always travel agencies and vacations to take there.

Ya I hear you, I'm determined to get there. It'll have its challenges but it would be worth it =^^=

They made several interviews with them, and in the first they told the interviewer that there is just a contact to the band from Kamijo by work, so they don't meed up in privat.

Second is that some years ago ( I think 2-3?) Sono blogged that they don't really like each other.

And at the actual european interview, they said that their relationship haven't changed.

So, Matenrou IS Jrock, just a different style [like how Gazette is mainstream Jrock, and Suicide Ali is Indies Jrock -great band, by the way-]
