well for one, both cars are parallel so of course one will hit a different location of the truck. secondly, the driver of the second car could avoid being impaled by simply correcting his steering.
This ad is a poor representation of speed differences... if the change in road conditions happens while the cars of varying speeds are side by side, the reaction will come almost instantaneous to both drivers, therefore, the 27kph difference wouldnt exist... it'd only be like 5-10kph.
@TheDragonKnight777 That's nowhere near the necessary amount of G force to cause a person to go unconscious, let alone die. Think about it like this. Some bikes and cars can reach 0-100km/h in 2 seconds, and obviously the drivers haven't died from the "X" number of Gs that created. So that means stopping from 100-0km/h in 2 seconds you would still only experience the nonlethal "X" number of Gs. You can't die from internally stopping a car.
@PandaMagicFTW Still, it can be damaging. Going faster does NOT help. The faster you go, the worse you would hydroplane. The faster you go, the less time you have to react. Going faster does NOT give better grip. Stopping faster does not help either, with the G-forces and stopping suddenly, propelling you into the hot airbags at high velocity. And, if you go faster, it takes longer to brake. It's simple physics.
@TheDragonKnight777 Well I'm telling you it isn't. "Stopping faster", NOT crashing, 2 different things. Your body is completely capable of withstanding the Gs associated with braking a car. Obviously drive slower when there are puddles... If you know anything about racing then you should know to accelerate when turning a corner for more grip, allowing you to turn with optimum speed. Aside from all that, I said faster car, not driving faster. A fast car can stop ALOT quicker then a slow car.
@TheDragonKnight777 K I just checked out your channel, and it doesn't seem like your not old enough to drive yet. So, I don't blame you for not knowing any of this. I'm not trying to be mean, but your wrong, don't try to argue about it please.
@kenjihimonatashi yes but i doubt they have intersections like that... not in Australia at least.. That and the AU falcons are shit at stopping on standard brakes
@babemokzar such a twat you will no when a car pull out but what about kids lets say you r going 60mph and a child jumps out in front of your car you still won't make it but if you will stay on the limted you will make it without killing a child......... twat
@TechSupport3 First off. learn to speak English as what you wrote was hard to understand. Secondly i would like to point out that if you upgrade your brakes you will stop FASTER then standard brakes thus if you are traveling slightly over by accident you will still stop in the same amount of time or even less time then you would if you were doing the speed limit or under the speed limit in a car with stock brakes.
I do not have time for keyboard warriors who call people names over the internet
what about the grannies who drive 10 mph, bull shit!!!, we chinese do not approve of this it should be "the faster you go is less the mess" ha ha! my magnificent is powerfull. waaa ha ha ha ha!!......... . . . . . .
i hate anarchists... just fucking respect the rules of traffic i dont wanna die because of some retarded prick who decided to text or whatever the hell you were doing.
seriously stop being so retarded if you are that stupid you dont deserve to drive.
@SkyDiverManiac91 But it still makes the viewer think, hm, what if the kid was in the front passenger seat and I hit the bar on the back of the truck while doing 27 as opposed to 5?
Another thing to think about; what about using, oh I don't know, THE STEERING WHEEL! I know that you can't swerve in every case, but still avoidance is the best way of not getting hit.
Yes, that is a good point; That is why some automobile manufactures have put in TC and ESP. I have gotten into a couple of situations that I noticed that I was over-steering and the ESP in conjunction with TC normally does a good job in most cases, but still nothing helps more than obeying the speed limit!

That's why you buy a faster car. Faster car = better handling, more grip, and most importantly much much faster braking.
Ex. SLR McLaren can stop going 200km/h in a shorter distance then an slow car going at 100km/h.
PandaMagicFTW 1 year ago
@PandaMagicFTW But the Gs would be very great. Humans cant survive very high Gs like that.

Actually, it says, "Don't speed. Here's why."
This video isn't designed to generate fear. It's designed to appeal to fear to generate common sense.

@TheHiddenPart Actually, it's just telling you to obey the traffic laws. Just going 5 kph over the speed limit can cause a massive wreck.

its all about momentum-depending on the mass and velocity of the cars, and of course the stopping distance ( thinking and braking distance)

Steering wheel does next to nothing when the two front tires are skidding. It wouldn't have changed much...it might have even caused a spin-out.
