This is unreal! All of ballet is based on turnout and core strength. No turnout and even holding onto the bar she looks like she is an earthquake zone.

This is not good adverizement and is terrible ballet, if you could call it ballet at all.

@oknajsasuke yes BUT you can't or shouldn't open your first position more than your turnout allows you. So maybe this girl hasn't a big turnout yet and therefore the teacher doesn't push her first position open. However, YES, there are many technique mistakes in her position and if she keeps doing barre like that, she'll never get a turn out.

this 'teacher' is a fool and clearly knows VERY little, if anything. degage is a french term and the pronunciation can be found explained in any book or many websites on ballet terms

Ok, when you do an exercise en croix it means you do it in the shape of a cross. En croix means shape of a cross, not front side back and side.....
